Here is the recipe for the best Animal Crossing game: 1. New horizons. (Keep all the terraforming elements and awesome decorations items in the game.) 2. New leaf. (Have a place like tortimer’s island where you can interact online with people and maybe even trade items.) 3. City folk. (An extra area besides the town where you can interact with ALL the special characters from past games.) There are other small things they could do to improve the game, but this is what would honestly be the best. Having number 1 be the town and having a combination of numbers 2 and 3 as a plaza would be so awesome.

100% agree! The game still looks amazing and just needs a few updates and dlcs instead of a new game. But i think Nintendo prefers to make a new game and gain more money with a new full game :/

IMO, I can wait for a new Animal Crossing title, possibly till 2027 or 2028 at the earliest. New Horizons felt like a lot of stuff was missing, even AFTER the 2.0 update. I would like more time on the next entry so it feels more complete, it would also give more time to add stuff from Pocket Camp. That, & I don’t know if I will be able to get a Switch 2 at launch. Overall, I would love a Switch 2 Animal Crossing game (mainline, not whatever Amiibo Festival was), but NOT as a launch title.

I think my first switch will be wearing out about the same time the new switch comes out. It will be something to save for and I won't be able to get right away. Backwards compatibility has me hooked no matter what the launch titles are. My current switch is in very bad condition and I need a new one. Hoping that I can transfer data like we could with the DS/Wii -> 3DS/Wii U.

i feel like they should bring back the old personalities from some of the older games being most of the characters with the same personality type tend to just run out of new dialog and just gets boring talking to the villagers when they keep saying the same things the new ones are fine but one of the things i enjoyed about the older ones was talking with the villagers. i also think everyone should have access to the oline patterns if thats possible without buying nintendo online

I hope they make the new animal crossing game compatible with the switch too. I get why they'd obviously add it to the Switch 2, for advertising reasons, but not everyone can afford getting a whole new switch just for a childhood game. And I'm gonna be sad if I can't get the new game unless I get the switch 2. Hell, I'd still get the new game even if it's more money than just getting it for the switch 2!

It would be so cool if they added some of the pocket camp furniture sets to be available in the new game. More furniture, more seasonal items, wayyyy more custom design slots, and definitely I will need the glow in the dark sticker for the new version too, and if we could use codes from new horizons for the new game that would be amazing. Also would be nice if we could do better diagonal pathways, trees next to water and cliffs (without needing that weird hack), and diagonal inclines.

I could see the new Animal Crossing getting released at November/December 2025, as they killed New Horizons time ago (that game really needed more updates, like more Nook's Cranny upgrades or a multiplayer overhaul) and recently shut down the Pocket Camp servers. If I'm not mistaken, Pocket Camp Complete is getting new content until September 2025. So, after September 2025, Animal Crossing would be in a sleep state. Also, Splatoon 3 was recently killed with no more events (made by Nintendo EPD5, the same team of the Animal Crossing series). For the next game, I hope some things: - If I'm meant to be a god, let me be a god. If not, then don't. Don't make me able to modify the town landmass as I please but then my bug net breaks after catching 10 bugs. Makes no sense. At least make the golden tools unbreakable (although I would keep them as the old games, with only axes breaking). - Please add more villager personalities and more dialog to those personalities (and also to each animal species to make them feel even more different). Make the villagers feel real, I should earn their trust. No need to insult the player, the trust earning can be done with a bit of politeness (you would not insult a new neighbour in your town if you're mentally sane). Let villagers move out if they really want. To avoid massive garden destruction, they'll just leave an empty plot where their house was just as the plots you build in New Horizons so new villagers come in. - I'd rather not having a crafting system, but I can see its use if better balanced. Also, let us craft multiple items a time. - A grid for placing buildings (would be great to see this with furniture, but it's not a big of a deal compared to missplacing buildings and having to suffer just to move it a tile). - Please make multiplayer be fun. Come on, you did it in New Leaf. - And, as a wish more than a must, let us build customizable buildings (imagine building a school, a cinema, etc. without using your own houses). - Also, bring back the lost-in-time villagers. I get that we will never see some crossover villagers, but the e+ ones should be coming at least.

I hope I can transfer my main ACNH island and all my other games to the next console. I wonder how the friends system would work, though. Would I be able to friend both Switch 1 users and Switch 2 users? Perhaps a separate friend list for each? I want to keep my Switch 1 friends, even if they don't get Switch 2.

Bob’s gang Saw a theory that the switch 2 could be announced sometime January with a late March release date. Which that’s what I’m hoping for. I think regardless there’s a new animal crossing game, I’m aiming to get the switch 2 bc I’ve wanted a full sized switch for a while.
