Bruh I didn't know you could make a Wild World town so gorgeous!! This will always be my favorite game out of the series, THIS is the one I used to hide under my covers at night knowing damn well I had to be asleep for elementary school in the morning XD

Same. I always liked how the time of day ingame correlated with the actual time, so when it was 11pm and you were hiding under your covers, it was also 11pm in the game. It made it feel like a real midnight adventure. You’d run around in the dark occasionally finding lightning bugs or your one insomniac neighbor roaming around too. The town felt so big.

@@urmeltier1818 I think the smaller towns, and the dialog plays a lot into it- this was their first time going on a handheld, so they really cut down what the original had, but somehow never cut out the essence (to me this is the most Animal Crossing of all the Animal Crossing games since they focused more on the elements that made Animal Crossing Animal Crossing).

Even though I started with the series in 2002, it was Wild World that really hooked me on Animal Crossing. Maybe because I never missed an event since I always had it on me, or maybe the dialog, or maybe the quaint, cozy feeling of only 8 villagers on a single tier there was just something magical about Wild World that no other Animal Crossing game has.

As much as I like new horizon's and new leaf soundtracks, I believe ww and city folk's were the best. Idk why, but it's as if I can "feel" what time it is through the music. I can't help but imagine how much better NH would feel with the old music

I miss WW, I am super nostalgic for this game. It was such a huge deal when the trailer came out for this. I was obsessed with the original one, so to not only be able to take AC anywhere but also play with people online was such an incredibly exciting addition. it was added to the series in Wild World- that's when flower breeding began too since they also added the watering can, but I think they also did that, because in the original when you got a perfect town, you got the golden axe, but this one has a whole trading mechanic to get the axe, so they gave you a flower instead when you reached a perfect town.

They start to appear when you reach perfect town status. A new one will pop up every few days or so as long as you keep your town perfect. After 15 days of maintaining your town you should receive the golden watering can from Pelly in the town hall.

My first 3 villagers were hopper, lily and monique Only lily still loves me update in 2024: I didn't play for a while since I got new horizons but lily still lives in my wild world town and I now have her photo :) another update: lily has unfortunately left my town, with nothing but a note to say goodbye. it sucked to see her go but I guess if shes happy, I'm happy. even if she's just a make-believe frog in a silly ds game. I've had other favourites leave before her, but with lily, it really stung. she was there for so long, even when i left. i didn't speak to her, or anyone, for years and yet she still woke up every morning and carried on with her days in rainbow. i spoke to her every day until I got my switch. I bankrupted myself buying paper just to send her letters every day. letters in which i would confess my love for her, attached to a gift. something i knew she would like, not just meaningless and thoughtless gifts, but things she had displayed in her house, like the green set, or things she spoke about liking, like fossils. I tried to fill the void of a meaningful connection with purrl, another villager who moved in, in lily's place. i tried to replicate the same feeling that I had with lily, but it was never going to work. you cant just replace someone, even if they're not real. but just because she wasn't real doesn't mean i didn't have a meaningless connection with this cluster of 1s and 0s. so for now, I'm not going to try to re-tread the same old road with every new person that moves in to try to re-live the magic. I'm discovering new grass fields to make my own paths. paths i will lace with gemstones and painted fences. better than what i could have done before for any of my villagers before this time. but as for lily? i proudly display her photo in the main room of my house. on the back, a note, "don't jump to conclusions!" i mean yeah it was kinda sad when she left but its really not that deep for me i just wanted to write something kinda depressing but kinda cute and happy

I've been dying to play ACNH, but I can't afford to go out and buy a switch at the moment. For a while, it's made me not want to play the old game because seeing what other people are able to do on New Horizons ... It made me feel like playing an older game wasn't as fun... But you have changed my mind! I still have my old as dirt DS and my very old town. Seeing your town has me so inspired to go back and play! Are you kidding me with how cute your village is?? You can get the DS emulator and download the ROM for this game. It's totally free, but the only thing is that you can't visit other people's worlds, at least, not in any way that I know of. I've been trying to figure out if there is a way.

@@springsnature7037 A year later, but you can just get an R4 or some other card. You put the ROM with the save file into a microSD card, put the card in the R4 and the R4 in a DS.

Basically, they’re called hybrid flowers. They will appear if you mix certain colored flowers like red and yellow will make orange.

I still own all 4 cartridges from my childhood. (original, my sisters, the one I got when I thought I lost it on holiday, the one that appeared out of nowhere. Don't know where it came from but I remember the character name). I'd like to start over and have a play again, but when I look at the homes and inventory's, I just see all these villager photo's and rare items and I just can't. I know in the past I planned to transfer items over to one cartridge, but it got tedious and I lost track. It's silly really. It's not like I'm actively playing it. Why do the items matter? I guess a part of me feels I'd upset past me or that I'd lose the memory. But again, doesn't make sense. >_

@@sef3793 You have to enter Able Sisters and talk to Mabel, then she’ll give you the option to edit a custom design. Choose a new design and change it to however you want. After that, leave Able Sisters and place the pathways down by dragging it from the custom designs menu. I hope this helped.
