The Story:
In 2024, a tech startup named Farm Tech was run by CEO Mr. Jones, whose neglect and mismanagement led to widespread employee discontent.
Inspired by visionary coder Old Major, who had delivered an impassioned speech at an underground tech meetup, the employees were galvanized into action. Old Major had outlined a vision of a workplace where innovation thrived, and everyone shared the fruits of their labor equally. Initially, the company flourished under the new management, promoting equal pay and collaborative innovation. However, power struggles soon arose between Napoleon and Snowball. Snowball proposed cutting-edge projects, while Napoleon, with his team of loyal "security experts" (the dogs), undermined him, ultimately ousting him from the company.
Napoleon consolidated power, implementing stringent surveillance and manipulating code to favor his authority. The once-idealistic principles were corrupted, with Napoleon enjoying executive luxuries while the rest toiled under increasing demands. The slogan "All Coders are Equal" was subtly revised to "All Coders are Equal, but Some Coders are More Equal than Others."
Disillusioned, the employees realized that their new regime was as oppressive as the old one, trapped in a cycle of power and exploitation. The revolution's promise of a tech utopia faded, replaced by a familiar tyranny in the digital age.
