We rescued an abandoned Yorkie when our sweet little long-haired, rescued chichuhua passed. Our hearts were broken! The rescue let us know that, even though it was only 6 days since our Annie died, she had a yorkie who was sweet and perfect for us. This Yorkie filled the hole left in our hearts left by Annie's passing. Teddy is wonderful and is a character who we love and has been entertaining us for the past nine years. I’m sorry for your loss. ❤️ We recently lost our chorkie (yorkie / chihuahua mix) earlier this month on June 3rd from cancer and heart failure. He was 14, almost going 15. Our pure bred yorkie also passed away about 2 years ago from kidney failure. He was also 14 and his sister, the same, 14 also from kidney failure. They were such sweet hearts. I love them forever. ❤️Yorkies are one of the best doggies in the world and I’d love to have more of them. ❤️

My husband and I have owned 5 Yorkies. We’ve been together 34 years and these dogs have kept us active. They are very smart and quite bossy, but every dog has its own special personality. We’ve had Yorkies who are loyal to either my husband or me, sometimes both of us. They mostly love going on trips, my folks belonged to a yacht club and 2 of ur dogs loved any weekend spent on their boat. We think the boy we adopted 3 months ago will probably be our last because of how long they live. Our Yorkies have been 17, 15, 14, and 13 years old. It’s very sad when you have to say goodbye, but they all did a wonderful job being our friends.

Yes, I have a miniature Yorky named Mr. Banks. He’s six years old and weighs 6 pounds. My son gave them to me this year for Mother’s Day. Mr. Banks was my son’s fur baby but because of his new work schedule my son was unable to give Mr. Banks the attention that he should have So now I have Mr. Banks and I have all the time in the world is spent with them. He is a yapper and we’re working on that and has an attitude big time working on that. Also he loves sleeping with me and getting totally under the sheets I don’t know how he can breathe under there, but he does And we both like structured schedules so that works out great

After having a male and female Yorkie who both lived to 16 years old, we found our home unbearably empty! So, we bought a another male followed shortly thereafter by a female and a male Parti-Yorkie. They are now 20 months old and are full of energie!!!! All of our Yorkies have been and are great dogs!!!!! Couldn't live without them and their unwavering love!!!

I hand reared a yorky with a severe cleft palate, he was the total love of my life for 24 years , I’d give anything just to see him one last time , we was so close we could read each others minds He thrived on 5 hour countryside walks per day , with a picnic rest after 3 hours , I’m at present looking for another incredible yorky angel to join my life , although no dog can be replaced I love the feisty personality in yorkies that come with so much love in a tiny body

My yorkie is 8 years old and I got her when she was a year old the people who had her had to leave the country that day so I was lucky and adopted her that day. I always wanted a yorkie and she’s a great dog the days I’m sick in bed she’s right next to me. She knows when I’m having an asthma attack she sits on my chest and stars at me until I say I’m ok. Yorkies are very smart and great watch dogs.

I am a Yorkie owner....Lucas Bradford Yorkshire "Luke" is a rescue who was found in the middle of December in the cold rain malnourished and in bad shape... I got him on December the 16 which was the day my first born child, a boy, was stillborn. We named him Lucas Bradford. 😥

I used to have a sheltie type of dog, and I really did like her but everywhere we went she attracted so much attention and she became so shy as everybody lunged at her to pet her. This also gives some protection if a hawk, owl or eagle swoops down and grabs them up. And this happens frequently since large birds see them as prey! With a leash, you have a bit of chance of hanging on to your sweet baby! But still be always on the lookout!

I’m a new parent of a beautiful 2 month old Yorkshire she’s black and tan, she used the wee wee pad with no problem she doesn’t bark only when she’s playing or trying to get my attention if I stop playing with her she’s very quiet and calm so far 🙏🏾😅. She’s very adventurous so I was told to put a bell on her and it helps because I can hear where she’s is or goes 😊she so beautiful I’m tempted to spoil her but I will NOT be doing that don’t need any problems. I've got a thoroughbred Yorkshire Terrier. He's now nearly 13 and only has three legs due to a cancerous growth on his back leg. I've found it amazing how unfazed he is by having a missing leg. He still chases balls and cats with the vigor he had when he had four legs. He's over 9 kg. I thought he couldn't be a real Yorkshire Terrier, but he is what's classed as a giant Yorkshire Terrier. He's the size they used to be before they were bread to teacup size.

I have a yorkie who loves to fetch for his toys. I notice when he fetch for his toy 3/4 times he will become very winded so, I will have him to stop playing sit on his sofa to calm down. After stopping him to rest he begins coughing with a horse sound, is that somethin he need to be checked by the vet?

I would take him to the vet and talk to him about it! Could be problem with his Esophagus. I know ours if he drinks to fast he has problems sometimes. Love our little guy he is my service dog. He knows when My PTSD or atrial fib gets out of wack and warns me! Plus he is easy to take along on trips or just around the house. Don’t have this huge dog with big messes!
