Javier sounds so good with the riff at the start 0:00, one of my favorite songs on the album!!! I love Tosin's articulations here. The muted notes sound so satisfying 1:40 and the lead play adds a nice happy yet sinister esthetic to the song and is quite a lot yet I felt Tosin is used to it by now. Fucking Matt though toward and at the end, my gosh lol, this dude is a beast wow

Fun (ok not so fun) fact: I always wanted to see AAL perform live but here in Italy i didn't have any chance to see them in the last few years. Then i traveled to LA and i was for my first time at Namm this year. The singer of my (ex) 2nd band obligated me and the other guys in the band to follow him bc he wanted to make photos with a bunch of artists and see some jam sessions at the Gibson booth. Then when we left on the outside place with the stage i discovered that AAL just finished playing an awesome gig there (i think this one in the vid) and i was literally a few meters away. I was like "please someone give me a reason to not kill my band's singer for making me lose this show". So i guess i'll never be able to see them live, lol. Anyway, awesome performance.

What bass samples...i dont think you know what you're talking about. There was absolutely no sampling in anything you just heard from them..the lower register of the 8 string guitars particularly the e and b string are the bass notes and they swap parts as javier does the intro, and tosin thumps later on towards the end to give that bassy feel.

@cblue34 жыл бұрын
Alot of these tracks have bass on them, there just isn't a bass player. Most of these songs are in standard tuning so the extra strings are just a few steps down from the low E string on a typical 6 string guitar. Not really reaching into the octaves covered by a bass guitar.
@somepickles4 жыл бұрын
@@cblue3 their eighth string is actually dropped to an E. it's the same pitch as the E on a standard 4 string bass. they are still using guitar strings, so it doesn't have the same timbre of a bass guitar
