Jessi's attitude towards criticisms, negative comments, and even personal attacks is perfect. Constructive criticism is good and taking them with an open mind helps you improve. Negative comments aren't anything to worry about (especially when your channel is overwhelmingly liked and loved by your viewers). And personal attacks can't hurt you if you don't let them. Role model you are, Jessi.
@courtneyl77488 жыл бұрын
Jesse, to counter some of the professional and personal attacks that come your way, I just wanted to let you know that you have become somewhat of a role model around our house. I have an eight year old red-headed little girl that wants to be like you when she grows up and take care of rescue animals. no joke! you have really inspired her to pursue a love of animals and science. Keep up your amazing work and attitude!

it's obvious you take exceptional care of the animals. i hate paperwork too....maybe line some enclosures with the most frustrating bills/forms/applications etc. for a day so the animals can "weigh in" with their opinions about it too. haha. love your channel!

Thank you so much for answering my question! It's so hard to work with animals (amazing! But hard at times) and I thought it would be hard because of the animals but I realized that it's made hard by other people... your answer really reassures me that, no matter how good you are, you still can't be immune to criticism and haters. You're amazing! Thank you again! ❤️❤️❤️

What a great and optimistic person you are! :D I hope you can continue to be able to provide excellent care for the animals while teaching us people of the internet about them for a long time from now. Also, do you plan on making longer videos and/or doing live streams of some of your animals simply hanging around? I know it may seem a bit boring, but I feel it would be really nice and relaxing to be able to watch a live feed of, say, the hedgehog or porcupine moving about in their enclosure when I get home.

Hi Jessi! Just found your channel a couple days ago; subscribed! My question for you is: What is your favorite species of spider? Mine is the Jumping Spider (I think the one that lives in my area is Phidippus Workmani, or Workman's Jumping Spider), because they are absolutely adorable, and very smart and charismatic! The males are a bit spastic and, well, jumpy; and the females are calmer and more cautious. I love having them in our house to eat of those ANNOYING fruit and soil flies!

Hi Jessi, I've been researching on green cheek conure for the pass few months because I'd loved one. I remember in one of your videos you said to dump out all non stick pots and pans because the fumes that come out from them when they're heated/overheated could instantly kill the bird. Though I do want to change my pots and pans, that's not fully in my control as I don't live alone. So I was wonder is there anyway I could still have a bird and cook? Like turning on the fan above the stove, opening a window, and keeping the bird in another room while those items are being used? Is that too risky for the time being before I could get new, safer pots and pans? Thanks, and I absolutely love your videos and Ginger is so cute!

@emmulah8 жыл бұрын
Brian Piper that's a super good question
@AncientManBeast7 жыл бұрын
AyyLmaorusaurus Well it's as simple as just keeping them inside. Because they're used to being in a more stimulating environment you should definitely increase enrichment , ie toys , cat furniture, play sessions and\or games anything to stimulate they're mind. You could also try getting them used to a leash and harness to take them on walks , there's definitely a right and wrong way to do this. You will want to use positive reinforcement/exposure, I recommend watching a video about it. Good luck!

@animalwondersmontana8 жыл бұрын
Jaslene // july101 I don't have a favorite animal. There are top animals for different categories, but favorite overall is waaay too stressful for me to choose. First animal I saved was a horse who had a bum knee and would have been euthanized because she couldn't be ridden. I was able to give her 15 good years of love and health before her leg could no longer hold her. She's one of my pillars of love.

Hi Jessi! We've got two cats. One, the older one (about 5 years old), is super prone to nervousness and anxiety from some trauma she experienced as a kitten. The other one, about 2 years old, is super energetic and likes exploring, playing, and figuring out (simple) puzzles - she's a rescue who's much better socialized. Do you have any suggestions for how to keep the younger one engaged and stimulated throughout the day? Ideally without any major environmental shifts?
@ShadeSlayer19118 жыл бұрын
How long have you had the older one? Sometimes it might just take some time for a cat (or any animal) to heal from past trauma. Look at Joy. Jessi's been at her for 2 years or more now, and Joy still isn't fully trusting yet. As for keeping an anxious and nervous cat stimulated, I'm not sure. Maybe give her a box to hide in. I know that cats hide in boxes to help with their anxiety (they're kinda anxious animals by nature). That might help her anxiety which then might lead to her feeling more comfortable doing normal cat things.
