The link to the data doesn't work anymore. However if you search on the creative cloud website for "Animate graphics with data" you can find the data for download

Hey the link to check out the assets seems to be broken. I'd love to dive into those slider controls too and the full project, could you look into relinking that? Thanks!

Probably too late. This tut is now two years old. Sorry you missed out. You can purchase templates.

This tutorial is just what I need, however the link to check out the assets seems to be broken. I'd love to dive into those slider controls too and the full project, could you look into relinking that? 🤞Thanks!

It would be amazing if you could export the project to json and have a dynamic Lottie animation for web!

You can get an After effects plug in for lottie which I believe does this. Check out the Lottie website and what AE effects are compatible with the export.

The video was useful. But the problem pestering me is I have a set of x and y coordinates produced for discrete time intervals and I want to link the position with data and animate it for any fixed interval of time. Is there any possible way to do it?

This looks so difficult and time consuming for one graph, is there like an easier more basic way to animate a graph in after effects? But love the idea to present data more interactive.

This is the easy way. Other way would be to manually do all the math and keyframe everything. But then you couldn't dynamically pop in new data.

do it once, or do it often, which is easier?

This is great. I have one question though. You use prices[5] as an example, but I have a json file with about 140 different keys (so for an example prices[78]). Is there a way to quickly change prices[5] to any sort of prices[x] number I want in all my expressions without having to edit 40 different layers manually? I want to use this for a live-broadcast setting where I'll need to be able to change the value within the expressions in a few seconds so all the layers update immediately and it can be inserted into the live broadcast almost instantly. I was thinking of using a hidden text layer somewhere where I can just put in the number and pickwhip it or something, but I'm not sure how that works with the expressions.

Could you give a link to the project? links in the description do not open

Aha, got it running! Though it took minutes to render, and then only after deleting most of the state outlines. (If you don't need this level of complexity you can use any of a number of graph-making plugins.)

This is a great tutorial! Unfortunately the After Effects file comes up with an error in the latest version of After Effects (2018 April release). The error says: "Data file: conversion to MGJSON using converter JSON with id com.adobe.sensor.jsonConverter failed" Any idea why this is? Do I need to convert the .JSON files to MGJSON files? If so how can I do that? Thanks for the great content.

Your tutorials are awesome! recently i've been doing some racing at a local karting circuit and filming it with my gopro. After the race, they send me an email with complete telemetry and laptimes. Im struggling to find a software that allows me to manually insert laptimes, lead, position, timer and put everything on the recording: something like an f1 HUD in real time. I have adobe premiere pro and after effects, but i mainly used sony vegas since 2005 so i might watch some tutorials, but i still couldn't find anything handy for what i need. can you help me in any way?

Great video guys. But the project you shared is FULL of errors (180). I don't really know what's going on there.

Harder than it is made to look. There should be a much easier way to get this done. I am impressed by your coding skills, but most average users don't know all of that.

Im sorry but „other data files like svg“? SVG is a format for vector graphics. Just because it’s described by xml doesn’t make it a format for storing data. Great video, but that was just a very weird phrasing ._.
