BTW um play ssf2 and check its release date and when bomberman was included in that game sort of similiar to sora's case but the only thing different from sora from the 9b demo and in the public ssf2 beta sora's moves were changed such as his up and down b i dont remember too well but i think they changed his smash attacks too

It's like I see how much love and extra detail you put into them like with Louie's kick, but none beat your move set man! It feels so natural like the recovery is a viable option that is not situational. Please make more animated move sets man. These are all great ideas, and a lot are pretty different from my concept of how he'd fight! Just for fun, here's what I came up with: Smash characters are usually based on an initial concept, and then designed from there. Since Bomberman's games are based on risk vs reward, that's what I built him around. Neutral B- Bomb Drop: Drops a bomb on the ground underneath him, or it falls straight down in the air. The bomb acts like an impassable block you can stand on top of, and can't be interacted with. It detonates after 5 seconds and explodes in a plus shape. Only two can be dropped at a time, and can chain explode. Bomberman can be hurt by his own bombs. Pressing B next to one lets you pick it up and throw it a short distance. Side B- Bomb Kick: Spin kicks. Deals damage and small knockback to enemies it hits, sends nearby bombs sliding straight ahead, or reflects projectiles it hits. Up B- Bomb Jump: Explodes a bomb underneath him, shooting him straight up, but dealing recoil damage. Bomberman deals damage if he hits an opponent after the explosion as long as he's still on fire. The bomb's initial explosion can spike. Down B- Fire Up/Down: Increases the power and size of bomb explosions(B Special). Bombs appear red to denote this change as well as the Fire icons on the HUD. Bomb Jump also increases in damage and sends Bomberman much farther, but deals more recoil. Final Smash- Hyper Plasma Bomb: Traps opponents with Louie. Max appears and charges, then throws, the Hyper Plasma Bomb, as Bomberman runs away scared and is blown away by the massive explosion. Enemies are launched afterward. And some ideas for other moves: • Forward smash is a Line Bomb attack. • Down smash is Dangerous Bomb. • Up smash is throwing a Pierce Bomb. • Forward throw drops a bomb in front of opponent and ducks away. • Back throw is a somersault throw. • Down throw is a Loiue stomp. • Up throw is a Pommy attack. • Jab is Boxing Glove punch. • Dash attack uses Skates. • Forward tilt is a roundhouse kick. • Down tilt is a break dance kick. • Up tilt is a flip kick. • Neutral air is a punch. • Forward air uses a Yo-Yo item. • Back air is a drop kick. • Down air uses Getas. • Up air is a headbutt. • Shield animation uses Ceedran shield.

I don't even play Smash and I'd like to have him in it as a playable character! Though it's mostly for symbolic reasons, I think Bomberman is just as iconic and important as the likes of Mario, Mega Man, Sonic and Pacman for example, and well, he was Hudson's mascot and flagship franchise, Hudson was Nintendo's first ever 3rd party partner, not to mention Bomberman was like, *the* multiplayer battle-royale game you'd play before Smash, Mario Party and Goldeneye were a thing! It was the game you'd beg your parents to get a multitap for! I mean, seriously, he should have been there since Brawl...

This was great. While I haven’t played many Bomberman games, I did play a lot of Bomb It during Elementary and Middle School, giving me the basis for the Bomberman series. Later on I got familiar with Bomberman, but never really considered him for Smash. This video made me realize he’d be a great fit for Smash, and I welcome him for any future titles. I'm in love with the simplicity of the Featured Moveset. Not only it represents well his main ability into a fighting arena, but also enables for such a great amount of setups! :O I like the idea of a Power Up ability as well. It's great seeing all the love and effort put into this! While I doubt that Bomberman will make it in as DLC in Ultimate, I do hope that he gets added in the next Smash game. Incidentally, do you have any possible stage ideas? When I think of Bomberman, I usually think of the standard multiplayer arena, but it'd be hard imagining a stage based around that. What are your thoughts? I'd love to see your ideas!

Just one thing. I think certain things in Bomberman's moveset should be color-coded. To avoid confusion when more than Bomberman is in a match. For standard Bomberman, his bombs. For community Bomberman, the outline of his power-ups. They'll match the player's hud color (like Villager's balloons.) -Red -Blue -Yellow -Green -Orange -Cyan -Purple -Black -Gray (CPU only)

Maybe the community moveset would make Bomberman a little OP for experimented players, but it looks a lot more enjoyable too. Amazing work on this! Both your move-set, and the additional community ideas are great! I'd personally go with your bomb physics idea, Neutral-B and Side-B, the power drops passive, and all of the Up-Bs are great options, but I'd go for Louie with my set. I'd add in the elemental bombs, too, but I feel it would add too many gimmicks to his move-set. I do wish we could've seen more normal moves, but I understand it would've taken a lot more animation time. Also that Final Smash is brilliant! Keep up the good work! Maybe next game or a future A.T. promotion buddy.

Personally, I like the idea of Bomberman being forced to self-damage in order to recover. In general, he should be as dangerous to himself as to his opponent.

This was amazing. I love the effort put in to this. Personally I have my own ideas for moves. B Special: Bomb Lob Bomberman stands in place and holds a bomb over his shoulder before tossing it. The longer the button is held, the bigger the bomb becomes and the more damage it does, until it becomes a Power Bomb, dealing the most damage with the largest blast radius, but covering the least amount of distance. A quick flick of the button will provide a weaker bomb that flies much farther than a charged bomb. If the button is held for too long - say a player gets camp happy - then the bomb will quickly start flashing red before it detonates on top of Bomberman, dealing a large amount of damage to him, but without knocking him back. He will appear to be covered in ash and his eyes will bulge out with him standing motionless for a moment before shaking himself off and moving again. While holding the button, Bomberman may change the trajectory of his throw by using the circle pad for precise aiming. Takng into account the spammability of the move, Bomberman will only be able to have two of these specific bombs on screen at once, with a short delay in between throws. Down Special: Remote Bomb Bomberman places a remote bomb that can be detonated at will, with a maximum of one being present on screen at once. I liked the idea you had of them floating in midair, so I'll say they do the same here. Up Special: Rubber Bomb Bomberman quickly launches up into the air after springing off of a Rubber Bomb, which will subsequently fall downwards. The bomb has a timed detonation of two seconds, or will detonate on contact with an opponent or item with a hitbox such as other bombs, crates, party balls, soccer balls, and sandbags. When the bomb hits any surface other than a player or item, it will bounce away from it. For example, if it bounces off the ground, it will short-hop into the air; if it hits a slope, it will bounce with trajectory according to the incline; if used on the ground, it will bounce in place until detonation. This move does not leave Bomberman helpless, but it cannot be performed until landing again, and does not allow extra jumps except for your double jump. Side Special: Bomb Kick I liked yours. :) Final Smash: Revenge!!! This move takes notes from your Revenge Cart idea, but makes it much more flashy. Bomberman jumps into the background of the stage and lands on a floating platform with all of the other Bombermen colors (the other 7 that you didn't pick from) present. As you press the A or B button, they will one by one toss a bomb into the foreground that detonates midair, each with moderate damage and small knockback. After about 7 seconds, a gigantic Power Bomb falls down as they all collectively shoulder it. At this time you would mash the buttons to lift it up, while still aiming with the circle pad before it is tossed into the foreground, detonating in a large radius, dealing high damage and high knockback. After this, the Bombermen disperse and yours returns to the stage. Let me know what you think! :D

I have a side B idea that makes a lot of sense but it copies someone's side B Side B: Motorbike He summons it and can ram opponents and do wheelies just like Wario does on his bike with the added option of placing bombs with the press of a button And origin of the idea: Wario Blast ft. Bomberman Also, amazing video by the way! Hope Konami sees this for reconsidering adding him in next smash (because Konami was the reason for him being an assist trophy)

This is great. Hoping some Assist Trophies will get promoted to fighters (especially Bomberman) in SSBU. Fingers crossed! I think his up special works simplest as bomb jump, especially if you allow him to use each available bomb (3, as suggested in the video) to recover, and it wouldn't be broken as long as the recovery distance was about as good as a small jump. It could work well as an off-stage chasing deterrent, and be fun for recovery mix-ups.
