This was a great prop and, as you said, very DIY friendly. One thing that would be helpful would be links to some specialty items like the motors etc. Great job!

I liked this! I cam also build just caskets after watching this, plus your transporting idea. not only is that really helpful but it would also allow for easily standing up on end for less storage space.
@Paulsprops-dc4mt2 ай бұрын
@tkguess this is only 22 x 32, so up on end wouldn't take up a lot of space. With the skeleton screwed to it i can move it around with him on it.

Very creative , love the motion of the casket , looks fantastic . It tells a story like something out of Tales From The Crypt , so if you wanted a different character sitting on top then your gangster could be changed to the Cryptkeeper with one hand on the sledgehammer and one holding an open book with an illustrated version of your casket escaping on the cover . Happy Halloween .

Great prop-very creative. What kind of motors are you using? Subbed.
@Paulsprops-dc4mt2 ай бұрын
@ZombieHaunter408 thank you, a.co/d/9a3pxFJ this is the kind i used. Ive used them for a few props. They are a good midway motor. Stronger than the raindear motor but not as strong as the wiper motor.
@jbponzi12 ай бұрын
Beautiful prop. Inspiring to the rest of us. It would appear there is enough torque. How much weight are the motors moving? Are the motors getting hot?
@Paulsprops-dc4mt2 ай бұрын
@jbponzi1 i would say they are lifting 10, maybe 15 pounds between the 2x2s and foam. Those motor do get hot. I think it just the way they are constructed. I've used these before, and they always get hot. But they are a good mid way motor between the raindear and wiper motors.
@jbponzi12 ай бұрын
@ thanks. Looks heavier. It’s a sticky situation for me when I can’t get specs on a lot of these prop motors and other parts and worry about reliability. Sucks being an engineer, hard to let go of that thought process.

@Paulsprops-dc4mt2 ай бұрын
@JamesSavage-i7f Thank you. Are you asking what would be a good prop to start with doing animation? I put a link to a video if you haven't seen it. It has a crypt lid that moves. Its an easy one to make. You dont have to make the tombstone move like i did. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIOkc2VvoNSpl5Isi=vcrkwVHD8zVzm54i
