Alan Young is the best Scrooge McDuck, no contest. David Tennant is a worthy successor who's made the role his own. John Kassir is probably the best of the Alan soundalikes they got after Alan's death. Dallas McKenneon and Bill Thompson are fine for the pre Ducktales era Scrooges, and Patrick Fraley is fine for young Scrooge. Eric Bauza and Enn Reitel are lackluster replacements.

I have a feeling that David Tennant might actually become the new permanent voice since he made the role his own as opposed to following in Alan Young's footsteps. Plus, he's got three things going for him when it comes to keeping the role, star power, nerd cred, and acting ability. That and Kingdom Hearts tends to go for people who have played the roles in associated canon if they're affordable and available... and one of David Tenant's known roles is of Spitelout from Dreamworks Dragons, a bit character that doesn't appear that much nor get many lines.

I should have commented on this when this comparison was first originally but I wasn’t too sure on whether if it was out yet or not. My favourites are Alan Young, David Tennant, Dallas McKennon, Bill Thompson, Will Ryan and Eric Bauza. Enn Reitel does a good impression of David Tennant or Alan Young who ever he was trying to imitate. Patrick Fraley I am going to presume is voice a younger version so he fits for that. Unpopular opinion I like John Kassir as a voice actor but he was honestly a miscast for Scrooge McDuck he has got the accent right but the voice it self sounds terrifying for a rich duck who takes his nephews on adventures. I could see Rowan Atkinson, Robin Atkins Dawns, Joel Mcdonald, James Patrick Stuart, Talisin Jaffe, David McCallam or even Ed Anser to voice him. I honestly Tim Curry got to voice him before his stroke happened.

The rest have their own unique flavor, though I will say John Kassir's Scrooge was INCREDIBLY jarring to hear after Alan Young's death. Eric Bauza's Scrooge isn't that great, but is... passable, given that his Scrooge was a mere cameo in Legend of the Three Caballeros. Also, hearing that Kingdom Hearts III clip... Why does Goofy call Scrooge "Uncle Scrooge"?

For me Alan Young will always be Scrooge Mcduck for me personally because I grew up with the original DuckTales. But for a modern successor for Alan Young's Scrooge (I mean the one from the original DuckTales) I think John Kassir does a reasonably decent job at imitating Alan Young's voice for Scrooge. Give him time to get used to it and I'm sure that he'll be just as good as Alan Young.
