Wow, Alan Young has had a good amount of voice acting roles in a life, some are indeed American, some are Scottish like Scrooge, some are British. Alan Young happened to actually be an American born in England, what a surprise that is.

Where in the world did you get your info? He's got Scottish parents, born in England near Scotland, lived in Scotland in his early childhood before moving to Canada, and he moved to NY when he was like 25. Lol. I guess a lot of caucasian Americans have a similar heritage stories, which is not at all surprising but...he's legit a full-blooded Scottish. His accent may have "Americanized" as he got older, but most people are able to don their homeland country accent. He's superb.
@BobbyBickert-z6s6 күн бұрын
@@ufoundkaleysheree Alan Young is in The Time Machine (1960). He speaks with a Scottish accent in it. I think he had to suppress his Scottish accent to play Wilbur in Mister Ed. (He's also in tom thumb (1958). But it's been so long since I've seen it (early 1980's theatrical re-release) that I can't remember if he spoke with a Scottish accent.)

I always just loved Alan Young when I was growing up because of Mr. Ed. When Disney's M.G.M. Studio's opened was when we got to meet him on opening day. We were all so thrilled by that. He was so kind and personable. I don't remember how long my parents and I got to talk to him that day. I have pictures and of course his autograph. He died around the same time as mom, I cried so hard, not only because of mom but because of meeting him too.

I never knew Alan Young did so many voice over roles. I knew him primarily as Scrooge McDuck and Hiram Flaversham. He's got quite an impressive repertoire, listening to this clip. There are a few of his roles that didn't make the Behind the Voice Actors web site, and while "Alan and the Chipmunks" did, it appears they left out the character shown in this video.

Alan Young Is part my childhood, I still miss him so far. I was enjoy watching Ducktales with Scrooge McDuck since I was 3 or 4. It was the most beautiful days and the most wonderful days of 1990s and 2000s with Scrooge McDuck, Ducktales, Alan Young and Disney Afternoon shows. If you know how sad I am, suffer, and cried for his loss passes away with Yuko Mizutani , Kouji Wada, Alan Rickman, Pat Harrington Jr , Richard Libertini, Janet Waldo and Carrie Fisher . All of them were all pieces of my childhood and my happiness their passing was my greatest tragedy again, destroyed my life again and made me to hate the hateful 2016. I wish every day we all back in time to save them from death, to change past and history to better place no mater what people say.

I loved that particular episode of Talespin where Baloo got a bump on his head and forgot how to fly the Seaduck. Joe Mgee helped him remember and simply disappeared after Baloo exited through that small crevice in the rock that was just enough for a skilled pilot to leave out of. After the experience, Kit saw a photo of Baloo and Joe together and asked Baloo if that was a friend of his and Baloo replied 'More then a friend, Kit. More like a Guardian Andel.' :)

How about Casey Kasem, and speaking of Scooby-Doo, I pretend Bambi's in every Scooby-Doo movie and t.v. show with only Casey as Shaggy from 1969-1997 and 2002-2009 in them and it's only Bambi as just a plain fawn, but, still, to this day, I still can't find the right tone for Bambi if Alan Young sounded like him. Alan Young didn't just do Farmer Smurf in The Smurfs (1981-1989) , he also did "Scaredy and Miner Smurf" in it too. But I don't know where to find a clip of The Smurfs where Miner was in, but I do remember watching two episodes of The Smurfs with Scaredy in it once before. I hate to spoil this sometime, but Alan Young did do some additional voices in DuckTales (1987-1990) For example, 1. Duck to the FutureAvon Alarm2. The Status SeekersJoe/Blue Blood Beagle Boys' Butler3. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. McDuckUncle Moneybags4. The Duck Who Would Be KingOld Man in Tupet5. Ali Bubba's CaveOld Wizard6.
