I loved how they ended the show. In my opinion it has the most satisfying end in all show business. Fry asks Leela: Wanna go around again? It ends and you you re-start at the beginning. No cliffhangers or anything bad.

When people question why I think futurama is better than familyguy simpsons and southpark combined, that objection the professor has about bender's perception regarding the camera is a great example; the difference is between jokes sparking intelligent consideration, and excessive crass for the sake of shock value.

Basically, it boils down to Futurama's humor being more clever, witty and somewhat realistic (if those are the right words to describe their humor) in contrast to Family Guy/Simpsons/South Park's humor being more shock value or slapstick violence.
