Pre Time Skip designs for the win, always. Storywise, same. I’d even say so far as to say none of the post-timeskip arcs topped the peak pre-timeskip arcs (I’m currently reading Egghead so I can’t speak for that one yet). I can’t wait for Nami and Zoro.

I received mine not long ago and his articulation is crazy good. I don't know how I feel about that part of his pants behind his knees which can tilt to get slightly more articulation. Once it caved in, it's not easy to pull back down (I find it easier to remove those parts and reattach them back).

I think pre timeskip is better overall when it comes to aesthetics. I’m not a fan of any of the redesigns. Tho I really like gear 4 and snake man. Snake man specifically I think is luffy’s coolest form.

I know what you mean. I loved watching One Piece and playing Grand Adventure growing up. I watched the 4Kids! version of the show until it stopped, then didn't watch it til about 3 years ago. I've been wanting a One Piece line ever since I was a kid and this Luffy is a dream come true! I've been posing this Luffy pretty much since I got it a couple of weeks ago. It's such a fun figure! After finally setting up my One Piece display a couple days ago, it''s crazy how different the two Luffys are. I didn't realize just how different and better the articulation is on the Romance Dawn one versus Onigashima. As much as I would love Crocodile, if I could get only one pre time skip villain, it would be Arlong. I just think Arlong would be a ton of fun to pose and play with. The accessories alone would be worth it! Sawtooth blade, 2 sets of teeth so he can hold them or lodge them into his opponent, or maybe even a water projectile. Maybe even an articulated jaw on one of his heads. I cannot wait to see what's next for the One Piece line!
