what i thought of when i watched this was: luka got offered something huge out of paris to do with his music and he wanted to turn it down because he wanted to stay in paris with mari. that's when marinette told him to forget about her and make a decision for himself so then luka says, "i've already made my up my mind." he pauses, "but have you?" for a moment, she looked confused, but then realized what he was talking about: her decision to make over him and adrien. marinette looks up at him and feels pangs of guilt but says nothing. he smiles at her, "you have. i'm happy for you. " "i-" "no, marinette, i'm genuinely happy for you. you found the music that makes you happy and i hope you chose the right song. you found clarity, and because of that, i'm also so proud of you." her eyes began to visibly prickle with water. "hey hey, don't cry. i'm okay, we're both okay. you know what, i'll listen to you and i'll do it. i'll go out and make music worldwide and live out my dreams and have fun-everything you said- and you will be doing the same.. with adrien." though it hurt for him to say it, he smiled with a hearty smile throughout. maybe he was just deciding to leave now because he knew marinette's feelings would never be reciprocated and now he wondered if staying was worth it, or because he realized what a huge opportunity he'd be missing out on if he rejected it. whatever the reason, he was now going to leave.
