Basically, the 1st and second frame ball are close to each other. For the 3rd one, you need to put it even farther bc that how earth gravity works, the 4th and 5th are squeezed horizontally and 6th,7th, and 8th are squeezed vertically. And copy in the order of 6,5,4,3,and 2. And there’s your animation of a ball bouncing! You’re welcome.

I am surprised by what can be done in 10 hours! You managed your time really well om that one, I can see
@mrgenry605510 ай бұрын
One thing to make loops look better may be offsetting things happening on the screen, for example make butterfly be on the middle of the screen from the start. Also you can copy whole animation over and make so something happens less often, like leaf falling loop 1 time for every 2 ball loops. This also gives an oppurtunity to make things with duration of less or more than main loop itself
@baggelissonic10 ай бұрын
7:28 the shadow getting bigger the close you get to the light source is only applicable when the object is relatively close to said light source. At these scales you can regard the sun as being infinetely far away for all intents and purposes. On the other hand, sincenlight diffuses, the farther away the object is from the ground the more blurry the outline of the shadow will be. (Closer = more harsher as you already seem to know given the 10 hour version). However, the shadow will never actually get bigger when you are outdoors. Just go outside and throw a ball. The outline of the shadow will start bring blurred so much that it slowly starts getting smaller. The lighting in the 10 hour video would have been somewhat more correct if this was inside a 4-5m tall room with a light source overhead. You seem to be drawing shadows regarding them as projections of a cone. However, at such distances, there is no cone, the line are perfectly parallel. For that reason, when the light source is perpandicular to a surface, the shadow of ball can never be bigger than the actual ball. It honestly, felt like there was constant project hovering 20 cm above the ball at all time in the 2nd video. When you decide the point where the sun (light source is), don't draw perspective lines that all converge towards that point. Instead, draw parallel lines that all come from the same overhead direction. Then, the farther the object is from the surface it casts a shadow then the more blurred/smaller the shadow will be. Honestly, the 2nd video looks kinda cursed/uncanny because the shadow works completely opposite to how it should in real life. Heck, you don't even need to blur anything, just making it smaller the higher it would go, would still make it look better. I do implore you to stufy shadows and lighting more. You are too good at animating to still struggle with something so basic. It will really elevate your aninations.
@CyanSandwich10 ай бұрын

My favorite was (obviously) the 10 hour animation and I only have 1 suggestion. I feel like there was too much going on in the screen and there were moving parts everywhere. I probably wouldn’t have done so much with the animation as you have there. Don’t get me wrong it looked amazing and I couldn’t do any better if my life depended on it. It is just sorta an “overwhelming” feeling looking at so much in just a couple of frames. Other than that, you did a really good job and I can’t wait to see more!❤
