This session is a travel guide for brave animators who are about to embark on a journey into the world of Unreal Engine. Join us to prepare yourself for the best trip, understand what to expect, anticipate any struggles, and get excited-because you’re going to love it.
Dimension will give an insight into how they have customized workflows and developed tools to help and support animators working in engine.
The talk will include an introduction to Unreal Engine for traditional 3D animators using Maya looking at the parallels between the two worlds as well as the differences.
You’ll learn about the UE animation philosophy and its linear content production workflows, and there will also be practical tips on workflows unique to UE that can open new animation routines.
This session is designed for traditional 3D animators and previs artists who haven't started animating in UE yet, as well as those who have (but are still finding their way through).

We might need to have animation programmers dedicating to make everything easy for animators to just focus on making animations. Or we could use some simple macros which allowed the project to set into presets which suitable for certain styles or even create the presets ourselves.

THANK YOU SIR! THANK YOU. Those basic freaking options you showed in the tutorial are complete turn offs for me when I tried to move into UE. Like WTF why can't I drag select something or Why TF is the pan moving in reverse (This isn't a airplane). THANK YOU for the simple clarification.

2 questions for unreal. 1) Is rust a first class citizen in the development process yet? 2) what's the licensing for developing VR/XR solutions for individual businesses that might not be selling the game, but using it for gaining customers. Does this fit any current licensing model?
