I always thought I was doing something wrong because my animations don't have a keyframe on every single frame of the timeline like the rigs from exported Sims 4 animations. Turns out, I was technically doing it right, it just takes a lot of practice and time reviewing the animation and timing. Thank you for not only reassuring me, but also teaching me exactly WHAT I'm doing, this video was priceless. :)

Ryan, I would like to commend you for creating these Blender tutorials. As a beginner I find them enjoyable and informative. You clearly explain what it is you are trying to accomplish. You then also clearly explain how it’s done. What I especially like is that these Blender tutorials are more than just a quick movie recording of the button & menu selections required. If what is being discussed requires several parts that’s what you do. Keep up the excellent work. Regards, George

Other people have already said it, but I'll say it again - there's tons of blender tutorials out there, but you are a rung above the rest. I'm grateful for all the free content that's out there, and you can usually find how to do something specific if you do enough digging. But most of them don't really capture the essence of actually teaching a skill. With your videos, I can actually visualize how I can apply the content to things that are tangentially related. Being able to explain things in that way is a skill that not many people have. I feel like blender is gonna really blow up over the next few years as it gets more and more features (and people get more and more pissed at autodesk), and I hope you are able to ride that wave and flourish!

This tutorial is very detailed and reliable. And the best part of all, its COMPLETE. From making that cube exist to making it moves, and all the way to Exporting the animation. I really thought Blender is just a 3D object modifier (I didn't know it has a video editing section tbh. Thanks for saving my time form having to put the frame one by one in Premier Pro :P ). Thank you SO much for this... I am trying to understand the mods I love from my favourite games and this is a GREAT video explaining animations at their core level. I'm really thinking about doing a SkillShare or similar course so I can really dive in. Back in the 90's (yes I'm ancient) I had to decide whether to do computer repair or programming. I chose the former as tools like this for animation and graphical tools like GIMP were pure fantasy at the time. The repair side has all but died but the power of programming is seemingly unlimited! I'll never completely regret choosing hardware over software as it's saved me a lot in computer build and repair costs over the years, but I do wish I had paid more attention to what little bits of coding they did teach me... Luckily I have guys like you to help me learn, so again, many thanks. Btw, I've been watching a ton of tutorial videos and may I say you have a very relaxed yet informative style. I envy your ability to impart knowledge.
