Very nice video. Great explanations on most things covered. I think some better explanations could be provided regarding the timing concepts and use of the graph editor in relation to said timings. Example: fps = 3/6/12/18/24/30/60 depending on the purpose/goal of said animation, it's actions, and the platform it will be viewed on. In relation to animations looking "life-like" or "cartoony" when working items such as liquids, is that you must consider what liquids look like in reality as they move. So a little "science" has to be considered here for the speed/fall rate of the liquid drop. Meaning, to give it a more realistic feel it needs to move withing a frame rate that resembles that of a water drop falling. So it should be falling within around half a second (1/2 sec = ~ 9 - 12 frames), splatting in about 1/4 sec = ~ 6 frames and the drops forming ang playing their arcs in another 6 frames. Totaling out 1 - 1.5 seconds worth of time, which can be checked by displaying the time code instead of the frame numbers in the time line by selecting the time code option in the time line editor options.

@@aliensoup2420 as a matter of fact, I don't since I've been an animator for about 20-some odd years and I grew up watching those cartoons. I understand how they work and why things in those cartoons where done the way they were back before the existance of digital media and computers. Traditional animation and digital animation have certain aspects that work differently.

@@CGSTUDENT15 yes, it does matter. The more frames you have, the smoother it looks, but the more work you have to do to capture said smoothness/nuances. Plus add the fact if you are working in one's, two's, or three's on top of your fps. It all plays into what frames you draw or don't draw to cover the sequence your doing.

Just select them all and hit shift+d that will duplicate the drops and their animations as well.

@@CBaileyFilm First of all, thanks for your tutorials, they've been very helpful! Can you explain the duplication a bit further? I can't select everything at once, because the ball and the drops aren't visible at the same time. Even if I only duplicate the ball and change its position, it disappears when I press play. The only solution for me right now is to use an empty and parent all the meshes to it and then move everything, but I feel that it can be done in a much simpler way. Any tips? :)
