Yes!! This is an excellent video laying out the different framerates. I feel like young animators get too hung up on fps and trying to make everything look "smooth" but skim over the importance of motion and the value of ones, twos, threes, and so on.

Lovely illustration! Working with doubles does save alot of time, as for singles are a bit too smooth and time wasting upon comparison

As MageBurger said, Singles may be needed for the very fast motions if Doubles isn't enough. All of these, even Threes, fours and longer holds are all viable for all sorts of different motions.

I always love the look of threes. Just a little choppy, just a little smooth, like ice cream with hoofprints

Thank you =) I've been struggling to find time to work on anything for my channel and would really appreciate if people just have a look at and share my Patreon page if possible.

Me, first exploring animation: Oh, it doesnt need to be that fast. 8 fps will get my point across Me, after watching animations done by dedicated professionals over a period of months: Well, i should probably do 24-30 fps, so it looks cleaner Me, after watching this video: Fuck it, 12 fps so my brain doesnt rot any further
