Good job, looks amazing from your initial stock, have you considered adding more med stuff? I mean adding some painkillers, antibiotic, anto inflammatory pills, antidote, charcoal activated ( in cases of poisoning, I think this is used to on animals), saline solution, adrenaline shots, just to be well prevented or you could trade this later, anyways first aid kit it's really useful, so you have good cover, also I say you can consider some firefighter stuff (extinguishers) and last thing, a faraday box would be useful to prevent EMP, just in case, god bless you for being aware of these struggle times

My friend had a storage bigger than your, but a tornado wiped them out. Bay leaf avoid the bugs. I have kept 3-6 months preps, and gave it all away, when I moved to Queretaro, Mexico. I paid to have my apartment emptied also, and 1-800 Got Junk did an excellent job. Super expensive, and I did not have junk, and my apartment was organized in Rubber Maid containers 13 and 20 gallons covered with Mexican serapes, and index cards giving the #, contents, and location. I still have the cards. It was my death cleansing. Salvation Army wants money, and not your stuff. They could have made the almost $3500.00 that 1-800-Got Junk made. Food pantries would not pick up, so I donated all the kitchen and bath supplies to friends, who came and took everything away. Hi! New here and very glad to have found the channel! Few suggestions from one prepper to another: - In case of flooding or a pipe bursting, kitty litter and medical preps are happier off the ground. - Teas and spices last pretty much forever when vacuum sealed. Bonus tip: Depending on your vacuum sealer, put a paper towel on top of the spices so the powder doesn't get sucked up and break the machine. Same goes for flour etc. Now I'm off to exploring the rest of your channel!

You have to watch buying so much food all at once. I have been prepping for 2 years and I have just run into foods approaching expiry dates. I bought slowly over those 2 years and still ran into the issue. Yea, having all that canned food for a SHTF event would be great and would be consumed, but during every day living, when food is plentiful, sometimes those canned foods are not so appetizing and are consumed slower than we think. I look at that can of Chef Boyardee that is about to expire and think, yea I should have that for lunch, but I'd rather have a pizza, chicken fingers, etc.

I do home canning, I use a lot of vinegar in canning, and I also use it to clean. Saving the empty jugs for water storage is great. I buy the gallon and half jugs at Costco. I fill them and store them in my front closet. It is recommended that you switch out water storage once a year so at the end of the life I use it all running it through my water filtration till they are empty then refill them. It usually takes about 3 weeks.

Wow, that is the tidiest storage area I have ever seen! Well done you! I'll have to go to catch up with you. Some foods, need to picked, packed and sealed some in 5gal mylar bags, with oxygen removers, will need to get moisture remover too. I like the idea of putting enough food for a couple of weeks or more in one bucket, paired with a cardboard box filled with 'companion' food and auxillary items. Easy to transport if necessay, and saves time by having to open and reseal airtight buckets and mylar bags, for just one item. Being from England, I much prefer, Twinings Earl Gray with bergamont, and a little plant-based creamer, its the best! I also enjoy a wide variety of other teas too. Even went so far as to bring a lot back from the UK when there were rumours of tea shortages, years ago. Have back up appliances, cheap and cheerful at the thrift store. May I ask how many people your preps are for? Living on Social Security, plus a tiny pension, I would have to say, that if I can do it, almost anyone can. Over a period of time, I have been able to stash enough food, and supplies and eqipment including the means to collect, store and purify water. When retirement loomed, I bought items, I thought I would likely need for the future, including shoes, clothing, and equipment such as a Goal Zero power pack with solar panels and Champion generator which I bought, as factory refubished. Actually it was brand new, other than being repackaged, no smell of fuel, and included S&H, plus warrenty. A very modest RV that has had any mechanical issues attended to, and all rubber hoses replaced, its fitted out in case of emergency, as well as for weekend get aways. Having medical and dental issues sorted, is even more necessary times of uncertainty. Very glad to have that all taken care of, because it is becoming increasingly difficult to get prescriptions filled. The pharmacy calls to say they can be picked up, but after waiting in line for half an hour or more, staff say they are not ready and to return the next day, still nothing ready and told to go to another store across town, when they tell, what I am looking for is not in stock and needs to be special ordered. Don't they order all the time? I llove the way you are so practical and methodical, and will be viewing more of your videos, thank you!

You my friend are an inspiration. I love your organization and how you re-organize as you grow and learn. My question is - if you fill juice bottles from the tap, why do you feel the need to add more chlorine?
