The surfer shark girl is my favorite so far, but I'm a huge fan of everyones outfits. The environment looks amazing, the music is incredible, I just hate that they stopped RIGHT AT THE BEST PART, I was super vibing with the vocals!!! I just can't wait to see what the story is going to be like!

according to events, artifacts and other text within the game Either they dress to imitate or represent their Saurian companions or they dress in a very modern way because it was said at an event that the people of Natlan have a very refined and completely different fashion sense than all of Teyvat and these means of transport are exclusive to these characters, if you notice they have skills similar to those of the Saurians in the first teaser, this is due to the fact that the Saurians in Natlan are apparently able to share their powers with their human companions however, it is possible that the Saurians themselves in the first teaser are mounts

Hey Roschi! Its been ages and I'm so glad you're still around doing Genshin!❤ I've been so hyped by this trailer, 4.8 stopped existing to me😂 I really like their design, but shark girl is winner for me looks incredibly fun! :) I think thats specific for the characters of their tribes? But id see these being unique to them and maybe others will transform into those saurians while being in Natlan for traversal? 🤨 So much stuff to consider :D Great vid btw!❤️

so, I am brazilian (japanese-brazilian but irrelevant lol), and I know that natlan doesn't only have brazilian inspirations, BUT, I would like to share some stuff that I noticed in the teaser and thought that MAYBE can be references first of all the wall paintings, in são paulo graffiti is encouraged as a way to combat vandalism and são paulo is known as the graffiti capital the mountains in the area reminded me of "monte roraima" and the grasslands remind me of south brazil the paintings in the characters look like "tupi guarani" paintings the blue girly reminds me of a frevo dancer she's also surfing and brazil in recent years became a major power in sport surfing the green boy's clothes remind me a lot of brazilian streetwear that you would find in the capitals

The music had a didgeridoo playing, which made me think of Australia, but the colorful wall paintings reminded me of Latin America (or even some Sub-Saharan tribes in Africa). I believe the Natlan will take some inspiration from the Ring of Fire, also, since I heard about the Mara Jivari in version 1.0 I automatically went to the Salar Uyuni (the world's largest salt desert, located in Bolivia). I can't wait to finally get to Natlan and learn more about the culture in-game while also learning more about the world we live in. Favorite character? Probably the Shark girl (Ellen from ZZZ awoke something in me lol), but before deciding if I'll pull or not I need to learn more about Iansan (the girl from the Teyvat trailer) and the current Pyro Archon (who I think we still don't know the name).

Re: the didgeridoo I discovered recently that there is a Mayan instrument (look up "Mayan trumpet") that sounds a lot like a didgeridoo and I am wondering if that's actually what Hoyo was going for.

Man I can’t believe we are so close to Natlan! The hype is real. One thing I noticed is that when the characters have that glowing outline, they gain new markings so that’s cool Also Dendro boy will be mine. I just got to resist pulling in 4.8

A lot of people seem to like Dendro Xiao but I like shark girl. All in all, Natlan is looking pretty cool and I can’t wait to explore it

i love the natlan characters so far! my favorite is the dendro guy for obvious reasons… and he is really popular at the moment HAHA can’t wait for natlan

Yeah, the abilities probably are limited to Natlan. Maybe not, but it seems more likely that they are. But I think the abilities are specific to the character too. They come from clans that prize certain Saurians (or creatures from previous trailer) and each Saurian related to each clan has a specific ability. So there’s a water clan for a water Saurian, and the fish girl must come from that clan. This is all from lore I heard in Fontaine and some speculation. I’m excited about these characters, probably the dendro boy the most. I think the dendro boy and the hydro girl are five stars based on design. We should get another character teaser within the next week.

MY bet about those abilities (the drill, the shark and the grappling) is that they are part of these new characters kits, unique to them, the reason I'm thinking that is because when they use those abilities you can see this very bright colorful outline around them while they're doing it (which is also color based on their visions, geo, hydro and dendro) but along with those new markings appear on their skin, the little girl gets yellow triangles on her forehead, under her eyes and on her shoulders, the other girl gets outline around her thighs and the guy also gets some marks on his arms and face. Those being specifically on the characters models makes me think it's specific to them.

Liking all 3 of them and probably getting them in 5.0. Especially the Hydro girl, as Hydro stays winning. The mounts are probably both character specific but also regional. Not Natlanian characters can probably only use the mounts we saw in the last teaser, while Natlan characters have their own mount. Sadly probably also locked to Natlan like the swimming in Fontaine. But im hopefully wrong as the Drill kinda works like Kirara's skill on walls. So there's hope. Only the Dendro/grappling one seems problematic or useless for other areas. There's speculation going on for Natlan to be based on the Ring of Fire, which sounds fitting for nation of fire. So that might explain why the characters and music have some australian feel to them.

I imagine the dendro grappling would work like Keqing/Chiori/Alhaitham, but maybe with more adjustable range inside natlan or something? tbh I don't see it not working in outside areas, if they're character specific abilities. The surfing and drill look fine/balanced to me. I think Natlan just like Sumeru and Fontaine is most likely based on a lot of different works of art/real life cultures.

True that could be the case. Didnt think of their skills for the Dendro one, as their skill is pretty limited, which i guess would be in line without hooking. One thing we dont see is limitations so far and that could be a case for them not working outside of Natlan or just limited based on their skills. Like surfing would be quite a powercreep of Furina in terms of exploration if it works constantly (and Hoyo didnt even want Kokomi to have that outside of her burst, which is just useless). And it wouldnt make much sense to work only for a short while as the initial teaser with the mounts showcased areas designed to surf. But then again, Hoyo seems to be stepping up their QoL's like finally a textlog after 4 years... So maybe they do powercreep exploration.

@@dzintars8034 Re: the dendro grappling It suddenly occurred to me, there is the mechanic in Chenyu Vale where you can place "grapple points" wherever you want in a certain radius of the mechanism that does the thing. I wonder if that's how it might work for Natlan dendro dude. Kind of like an expansion of Keqing's quill she can place, I guess.

@@reiresonance4643 I mean Furina is strong I agree, 24/7 water walking is op. If shark girl's water walk doesn't last as long/it's maybe more like Mona/Ayaka where it's only when sprinting over water/based on stamina I can see it being good/ if it's as fast as yelan or whatever skill speed but only on water.
