In the Greed Island arc they introduce these cards that all have unique (and sometimes bizarre) powers. People who win the Greed Island game are allowed to bring three cards of their choice back to the real world. One of these cards, which is only shown in the manga, grants the user the ability to become pregnant regardless of gender. The theory goes that Ging took this card out of the game and got pregnant with Gon, hence becoming his “mother.” Hope this helps!

Controversial opinion, the power system of JJK is terrible in terms of being consistent and logical. It is a constant ass pull and there's really no point in trying to understand it and trying to think how things should or could work. The reason people don't hate on it as much as other anime with similar problems is because it is hype as hell, but I hardly feel that you can call it a power system because it is so piecemeal and disjointed that there really aren't many universal rules to go by.
