Al can’t use alchemy without a transmutation circle at the beginning, but after he sees teacher they go over the events and he has a vision that allows him to do it.(if I remember correctly)

10:29 so far the only people Danny has seen not use a circle is technically Ed and I think Kimbley, but kimbley has his circles tattooed on his palms so Ed is the only one that doesn’t really need a circle as of episode 10

To my knowledge anyone who has done the taboo has seen “truth” of the universe and one of the first things they learn/gain from it is transmuting without a circle. Alphonse CAN do it later on in the show, after he undos his repressed memories of that night. Al actually learns a lot more from truth because he paid a larger toll but it traumatized him and he couldn’t remember it until later

It’s not touching the spot that you lost it’s creating a circle with your body making you body become the alchemy circle. Because Al uses it later when he remembers going through the gate of truth and Izumi can do it as well. She would have to touch her insides if that were the case.

To correct Nick about Fullmetal Alchemist. Only those who know the truth can use their body as a transmutation circle. Al has no memory of it until he gets fresh blood on the seal binding him to the armor. Scar has transmutation circles on his arms, Hawkeye has the circle on her back.

As someone who grew up in SLC- it's not a bad city and the infrastructure is solid, yeah. But it's also one of the least mormon/captia parts of the state. Yeah, the mormons have their own chunk of the city (north of downtown, usually) but once you hit downtown and the south side of the city it gets quite a bit more rebellious to the whole 'No drinking, no smoking' kind of thing.
