"Take it easy." Ball boy arc make you realize how much Hinata still has to learn. Hes beginning at the bottom in, contrast, there’s Kageyama who is somewhere much much higher up. Another besides hinata getting the chnace to observe and thus learn fundamentals to volleyball, he is alo learning how to be an athlete. What to eat, the requirements of proper sleep etc. Oh and if you guys remember "Wakatoshi-kun" what Sakusa calls Ushijima, this is a sign of closeness in their relationship bc he'susing his first name. They're friends from probably facing each other at Nationals/other tournaments. Also the feather head guy is what Ushijima expected Hinata to be like since he talked a big talk before. Lol And Kageyama messed that toss because he expected Hinata to be there. Its something the other's immediately took note off.🤓☝️

Kageyama telling hoshiumi that he was a great reference is because Hoshiumi is just about the same height as Hinata, yet he is at the Youth Camp. So hoshiumi is basically an example of how good hinata could be and kageyama is going to take every information possible for that.
@megamert2848Ай бұрын
I wouldn't exactly say he is the same height as Hinata, I think the difference is that Hoshiumi is pretty small 169 cm but Hinata is almost ridiculously small at 164 cm. And I wouldn't say he is a direct example of how good hinata can be but he is showing Kageyama what a skilled player of that height looks like. And that is showing that some of the preconceptions Kageyama had about Hinata being short are wrong and can be "fixed" or improved.
@koro8ginАй бұрын
@@megamert2848I don't think Kageyama ever thought Hinata's height was a predisposing factor towards everything he was lacking in Volleyball, at least not since after their first match. Pretty much every criticism Kageyama lobs at Hinata has to do with his basic abilities as a player (i.e. recieves, blocking, serves), and all of that rounds back on Hinata's lack of proper work ethic in the sport up until the ball boy arc. You have to keep in mind everything Hinata learned in this arc Kageyama had already experienced and applied to his own routine, just years earlier. He's always viewed Hinata's trajectory through the lense that if you work hard enough you absolutely will become great at Volleyball.
@megamert2848Ай бұрын
@koro8gin spoilers: There is one specific point where I feel like kageyama was looking at it in a different way because of hinata's height was his jumps. Kageyama undoubtedly knows where to place his weight in his feet to jump and that that kind of jump is audible. The way they show him being surprised by hoshiumi's jump implies to me that he did not think you would hear it when it is a small player. Because he thought Hinata would already be using that to jump as high as he is. Thus showing that at least on one point kageyama was missing some information/realisation because of hinata's height.
@roroellies8188Ай бұрын
@@megamert2848 dismissing??? Here we go with another Kageyama mischaracterization I guess. Almost 2025 and we still hear another theory of Kageyama not being supportive enough.
@megamert2848Ай бұрын
@@roroellies8188 Maybe dismissing was the wrong word I was trying to say he was not thinking about the fact that hinata's jumps up to then were quite (or boing boing ) instead of a forceful release. I mentioned nothing about him not being supportive, rather I would almost say he is trusting that hinata is doing proper jumps because of the height he is seeing instead of objectively looking at hinata's technique.

22:13 Idk about the real japanese phrase used in the manga, but in the eng translation of the manga, Hinata tells Hyakuzawa "I want to beat you at your best." Even if others think you're cringe for being gung ho, if you're really passionate about something or want something so bad, then outside judgement shouldn't matter. @@rozastra Oooh, don't get me wrong, I really admire and appreciate those that worked on the movie, they did waaaay more than any manga reader expected them to acheive. I just hate that they were forced to cramp everything, even making the movie shorter than most. And yes, they did cut many things, very big moments, but for me what suffered the most was the storytelling behind those moments. HQ is great because they are able to tell so much through volleyball, it would be like if Tsukki's block had been rushed because they didn't have the time to show everyone's reaction. The movie focused more on just that specific match, not what came before or after, except the main characters (which was great for first time watchers but still) Also, this was THE match were we got something, even a small arc, for every single character in both sides, even Nekoma's bench players... I could talk about it all day but it would be annoying and sound like the movie was worse than it was, I truly liked it, it just saddens me that I know there are people who will never touch the manga so they won't experience that match to it's fullest, and the ending will be less impactfull because of it Sorry for the rant, I tend to go off

The fact that him sneaking up into the camp is embarrassing is even more incredible for me. Man, volleyball is his life in all kind of aspects. He's taking it way more serious than anybody else there and it shows how mature emotionally and mentally he is compared to people his age while standing up front and confronting everyone about the fact that he's just a ball boy. For me, he's fucking goated and most people could only dream to have that kind of mentality, it really takes a lot.

Patreon, did they react to the ova's land vs air and the ending with Shiratorizawa? 1:19 I don't agree, I feel Hinata still sucks at most things, and what Washijo said is very true, without Kageyama he doesn't stand out much, they invited people who already have more going for them, except in some aspects Hyakuzawa, although height, especially at that age, is already a huuuuge advantage 1:49 Washijo did not give up! if he did he wouldn't be such a succesful coach. It's a common miss conception of his character, at his time there was truly no way for him to play, volleyball has changed through the years, now it's much more dynamic, if Hinata had been born at that time then the story would have been about finding other ways (coaching) to do what you love, instead of the one we get of not letting your disadvatages keep you from it. Washijo achieved the best ending for his time 3:05 Thanks. So many reactors get soooo fixated with it (I mean these aren't the worse ep so we'll see) to the point of not even paying attention to the story when it isn't very distracting as long as you don't overanalyse it. I, for one, did not notice on my first watch 6:16 But imagine you are any other player in the prefecture who wasn't invited to the camp, and then you hear someone broke in and is treated as a guest, that would send the wrong message 9:24 they aren't scared, they are all focusing on improving their serves, also, it doesn't matter that they are in the gym, like it was just shown what Ukai told them, they have to pretend every practice is a real serious game, "practice like it's a real game and in a real game play like it's practice" I think the saying goes something like that 15:01 Many call him a germaphobe but I don't agree, he wouldn't play volleyball if he was, besides when it's dived deeper in the manga it shows there is another reason than fearing germs 15:29 A little detail that someone who speaks japanese told me is that the way that these two coaches speak here indicates that they are Shiratorizawa alumni, and coach Washijo's students, which makes their conversations and interactions soooo sweet, also if anyone can interpret what he is thinking it would be them 15:42 It was a smile, of course he had frustration in losing but the asistant coach is saying that he was smiling inspite of having just lost, it was shown in the actual last point, it wasn't cut 16:42 Hinata did know but it's also because the blockers were already covering the cross, receivers have to work with blockers to cover more, like Karasuno did against Shiratorizawa, but that was more of a plan, and this is something that has to happen almost organically, like at 3:29 they move in synch 18:48 I have never heard anyone comparing Atsumu with Ushijima, plenty with Oikawa, but never Ushijima... I suppose because he says the thruth, but he knows he is saying it in a rude way, he just doesn't care, unlike Ushijima who truly doesn't want to offend anyone, he just doesn't realise 20:24 Because it isn't his training camp technically, it is in Shiratorizawa, so he has authority, but it was thought and organized by Johenzi's coach, so he is in charge of training 20:28 It's a beach volleyball equivalent to a dink, so technically, not against rules 22:15 He means, beat him at his best. Hinata doesn't like to win just to win, he likes the game itself, winning just means getting better, playing more and facing stronger opponents, if he just wanted to win he could play against lesser schools and call it a day, but he wants to play against strong opponents and get better. Edit: you kind of talk about it at the end but well, I'll leave it there 23:43 I feel that we don't get a lot of him because this training serves more of a teaser for players to come, so it would be kind of spoiled if they show too much, instead Hinata and Tsukki are with familiar faces so we get to explore more. Besides, what Hinata is learning is more basic, so it's easier to understand while Kageyama is learning techinques to improve his already polished techiques, it's not as easy, or entrataining for an episode, like steping a bit farther from the net, maybe with Hinata we would get an explanation because it makes sense that he doesn't get it but Kageyama sees the improvenment instantly. Don't worry he does learn tricks here but they aren't shown as explicitly as Hinata's, the sad thing is, they may not emphasis this later on the anime if they adapt it like I think they will 26:31 Many miss the fact that Washijo WAS a ballboy, everything he knows comes from all those years, instead of quitting he stuck as a ball boy to at least be a part of it, he knows more than anyone just how useful being a ball boy is

Its basically finding a balance between Oikawa telling Kageyama "are you giving your spikers the sets they want" and his old tyrant way of setting for what the spikers *should* be doing. In response to his dejection in middle school Kageyama's defaulted to just making things comfortable for the spikers but sometimes he needs to challenge the spikers to do better.
@justjanssenАй бұрын
@DNeonLamp thank you for explaining! 🩵 i suddenly remember the upcoming episodes especially when they came back from the training. i think that it's necessary for him to realize and to every one in Karasuno volleyball team because the other teams from nationals are different in skills, experience and etc.
@Snowhite-tx4smАй бұрын
"Goody two shoes" he said it coz Kageyama unlike his past, is now taking in consideration of the other players and trying to fit in the wishes of others like for ex- him making adjustments for the different spikers and doing it perfectly basically him putting in most of the work. That's coz he is scared of what happened in his past where he wanted others to do what he says which led to him sitting on the bench and lose the game. He doesn't want a repeat of that so he changed 180° and now became a goody two shoes which atsumo observed and told him in a rude way. The thing is Kageyama needs to find balance and doesn't need to go for either extreme. This is my understanding of it.

1:10 same carter, same! i don't remember myself feeling cringe, embarrassed, or anything when i was watching hinata sneaking for the first time. maybe a little bit, idk it just past me, but not like many other fans for sure 😂 but i do understand how others feel so cringe and embarrassed with that

this is not related and idk if u noticed or knew already but karasuno is called crows because karasu means crow nekoma called cats bc neko is cat and bokuto is known as an 'owl' bc of his hair but in fukurodani, fukuro means owl. just to fill in the little details if u didn't know already cuz the subs dont exactly explain the japanese words sometimes. the characters are made to suit the animals too, bokuto is an owl, kenma and lev looks like cats, and there's just hinata who just fly. that's why their banner said 飛べ which means fly. also karasuno as a whole is also very swift ? flick? idk what's the word sorry but yeah ykwim

Please reaction to violet evergarden series, this is a sad anime probably

Just a little fun fact since they were talking about it but I saw on a point spreadsheet that Ushijima scored 36 points against Karasuno, and that's only on camera points. Shiratorizawa as a team scored 125 points, 74 of which was shown on camera, so I can only imagine how much points Ushiwaka really scored lmao

a little spoiler: it unfortunately hasn't been animated yet but adult hinata will get so good that even kageyama will indirectly say that hinata has gotten better than him (even tho they are equally good)
