ANIME JACKSON TANK DESTROYER HAS A ROOF??? - M36B2

The M36B2 takes the already fantastic Jackson Tank and gives it a whole new least of life! First off it gets a HEAT-FS shell with 305mm of penetration which is EXCELLENT for dealing with Panthers and Tiger II's. Of course it has 305mm of penetration at any range so it's perfect for slugging things at extreme long ranges, too!
On top of this - literally - it has a ROOF! That's right, a US Tank Destroyer that finally has some cover from pesky machinegun rounds from planes! It's not much but it sure does help getting pinged with enemy fire from above!
The M36B2 is a Japanese Tank which doesn't have a lineup at 5.7 Battle Rating. It's basically on its own where it is which is awkward because it's an amazing tank that can deal with pretty much ANY scenario!
Overall, I give this thing 10 Anime out of 10! Amazing!

@@Geniusinventor Yes because it's HEAT doesn't oneshot sometimes even on a center shot plus it has no fins. Mobility is like M4A3's at 5.7 and the armor is useless at it's br. I have only bounced turret 2 shots from a ZiS-30, which still can pen me on the hull. Very justified at 6.0 Historical? Absolutley not. Can It fight at 7.3 (Egypts T54's)? No.

The jackson is one of those tanks where your game goes really good or really bad. Once positioned well it becomes incredibly lethal (but that's the same for any other tank I guess).

its the default aphe option for most japanese tanks, such as, type 61, ST-A3, ST-A1,ST-A2 :D

Gaijin just hasn't fixed the velocity on US tanks with the M3 gun, M3A1 didn't increase the performance at all.

Well I mean it's the exact same round. Fired from the exact same gun. Most 90MM guns in the Japanese tech tree were bought from the US, or were domestically produced derivatives (see the Type 61/ST-A 3). As a side note fun fact, with the exception of the Type 10 MBT, all of their 105 and 120MM guns were German, but to be fair whose aren't?

I always really liked the m36 too. the only major downside was the open top as it's mobility and gun handling are good enough that it doesn't really need armour. no idea why the US one was dropped to 5.3.

Just wanted to let you know Odd your PvkvIII video the other day inspired me to take out the APHE on it instead of the solid shot. I had been uptiering it to 5.0 as that is the Swedish BR my squadmate was working on and I had slotted the solid shot for the higher penetration. It was doing just fine with the solid shot but the ammo felt super limited because it was taking 3-4 shots to finish off an enemy. Switching to the APHE on it made a huge difference. Dishing out one shots all day at 5.0. Went from a module completed every 1-2 battles to finishing the entire mobility side of its modifications in 2 battles.

I took out this thing today to give it a shot. Holy shit its really damn good, played 3 games got a total of 19 kills and no deaths with 100% win rate. The APHE round alone is already amazing but paring it with HEAT-FS makes this thing incredible to use. Thanks for making this video Odd!

Notice where he positions and at what stage of the game it's at, most people don't stay in scanning your environment mode and focus on targets in their line of fire. Odd is always out of their line of fire and from an unexpected position, thats why they don't see him. They can't really react to him.

This is the first Jackson I've played, and I gotta say, it should not be as low as it is. M82 at 5.7 slaps so hard, and then you also have the HEAT for uptiers or anything too armored. Absolutely love it

The Japanese 5.7 has Sherman E8 and HT No .6, although it is now removed from store but i think most people should have it by now, if not then well, because it is currently costs over 50 bucks on the market i think. Also the M19A1 can be added into the lineup aswell...

When I saw this monster on the dev server I was afraid it'd be more copy paste. But I test drove it once, upper plated the T32 with HEAT-FS, and went "Oh my god they've created a monster." Absolute beast of a 5.7 machine. My only complaint with the Jackson was the lackluster pen against 6.7 tanks (frontally, really) and that HEAT round solves it. The Japanese tree has a tank that'll work very well from 5.7 all the way up until ~7.7. It's insane.

The m36 is my favorite td for the us techtree. I used it to grind 6.3-6.7 and i got 7+ kill games almost every time and with the rest of the line up its perfect. If only you could have the m18 for 5.7
