I grew up in the 70s watching Godzilla and loved the Japanese toys my friends and I would get. Sometimes, the graphics on the box were better than the toy, but a cool box was always added to the imagination in my head.

David has almost exactly the same taste as me (I guess I'll finally have to check out Berserk though, on his recommendation). I also bought a Yamato during my first ever trip to Japan, have gone crazy buying those vintage blister pack Evas for cheap, and I even own the Super Chogokin Eva in the cabinet he was geeking out on :-) Good episode, looking forward to part two.
