And Beerus doesn't really count as a cat... Or pretty much any other standard classification even by DBZ standards; he's a divine being unlike any other in his whole universe. And although Akira Toriyama's intial inspiration for making his design was apparently his very own real life Cornish Rex cat it draws from some other things too such as Anubis (the Egyptian deity of the dead) whose typical depictions are mostly based on the jackal, a canine animal. Not to mention once we start seeing the other universes' Destroyers, not all of their designs are based on cats or jackals, and some of them don't even resemble animals.

Happy and the Exceeds sounds like a band name. Jiji is my favorite from Studio Ghibli. I grew up with the original dub that had Jiji be a sarcastic friend to Kiki. Also Kirara and Kuro! The one critter that immediately sprung to mind was Ryo-Ohki the Cabbit from the first Tenchi Muyo ova. She is a shape shifter, but is primarily known for the fuzzy rabbit eared cat configuration. It is a fun video and i like the level of enthusiasm exhibited on the subject (as with all the stuff you folks produce).

Samurai Pizza Cats was the first anime I had ever seen and one of my fondest memories of childhood. Kimba the White Lion was an anime my Mom grew up with and loved. Nice to have a love of anime cats run in the family.

That didnt make sense to you? It made perfect sense to me. Hello kitty lives in a magical universe, her cat is not from there, she is an earth cat. It makes the same amount of sense as pets that look like their owners. However what doesnt make sense, if hello kitty is a little girl, is why everyone else in her town dresses up as various animals and things. You could argue that that os just how she sees everyone, but in that case Hello Kitty's brain is pretty messed up. I mean one of her friends is a hamburger, thats just mean.

It's a good series, especially if you like something fairly easygoing and silly. The Saban dub is especially ridiculous, and a good pick if you like 4th wall breaking humor; if you liked Space Dandy's humor, you should like this. The original Japanese Kyatto Ninden Teyandee is a little more serious, but not by too much. I'm sure you can find episodes online, or DVD's are available of both versions!
