With the NEC you are actually paying for square footage as it's divided into used, storage or not in use. There's a minimum square footage you have to pay for.

Well I guess you learn something new everyday! Think it’s odd though, so anyone attending the con or exhibition can utilise that space but the con itself can’t if it hasn’t paid for it! - thanks for sharing the info 🤘✌️

Epic video insightful look into the con, was Jamie’s and Megan’s lines busy? I was going to attend but something came up, I’m gonna attend next year, would you recommend the con? Are you going to attend mcm in Nov-Dec it was good last year.

My video may have come across more negative than I intended, I honestly just thought the layout and management was poor, especially compared to the first show last year, which was a lot better. Having said that, it’s still a fun con, they always pull in some decent guests. Megan’s line was busy in the morning but not so much in the afternoon, Jamie’s was busy for most of Saturday but she did only start signing at 1pm, I reckon it would have been quieter later in the day had she been able to start the same time as the others. Only other thing I would say is that for me personally, the con is still maybe £5-£6 more expensive for a ticket than I think it should be given its size, but then it’s a specialist Anime only con as well so I guess I can somewhat understand the price point. MCM Birmingham I always like to do at least one day (did Friday last year) but will depend on the guest list, London in October I’ll do regardless as super easy for me to get to!
