I think for honor will still get support since it holds a sizeable playerbase like siege, but I just hope ubisoft doesnt mess up a game that has potential like they do with every other title they put out. Let me know what you guys think they should do to improve the company or any of their titles and maybe they'll start taking actual constructive criticism, instead of labeling it as toxic complaining.

I just think this game, that was my favorite, sickned with CCU and never got healty again. We begin to trade dynamism with quality of play with that, not a good deal in my opinion. What they should do in my opinion is to follow the example of modern fighting games actually, trying to make FH more accessible but not brain dead, even implementing 50/50s. For me the main problem with this game is that now Is too much casual friendly and lost the Key mechanics that made It a great game. They should rework some core mechanics to make it less chaotic in short.

Things I would do to For Honor if I had the money: - fix server issues (As you stated) - Add more maps (Breach mode needs love) - Add Ranked mode to all game modes - Add a Tournament mode similar to how rocket league does on a timed basis - add “Salvage Orders” where we can buy new contract orders with salvage as it is a useless, bulky currency beyond xp boosts - tweak revenge system (Yes it “works” but it can be so much better; that’s a rant unto itself) - More armour (especially for the newer heroes. Variants are just lazy) - Revamp tutorial so it encompasses every game mode (ex: new players going into breach without a clue on what to do) - add a bonus for completing all contract orders (steel, xp boosts, premium crates) - Improve cosmetic drop rate for items not yet acquired (nobody wants to dump 30+ reps into a character and still not unlock the cosmetic they want) - add a “haste boost” to your hero if the opponent tries to run away (only if a 1v1 and if both players were engaged in a fight to begin with. This would be complicated to implement) - I think that’s it for now, oh and nuke Orochi to the dirt.

For what its worth, as someone from Spain, were we had tons of knights, people in the south can get very dark looking. And some egyptians even in ancient times were white. Not only is it unrealistic, and worse for customisation reasons, as a white guy it just feels a little wierd that ''realism'' is taken into account only with non white characters

Medjay doesn't lack lighter skin tones because of a purposeful feature, it's because of how the skin tone system in For Honor works. It mixes your selected color with the default skintone of the character, so while you can mix the dark colors with a pale character and get a darker color, you cant get a very pale character when you mix pale with a dark character

Honestly what's killing it for me is the fact that the game decided to just die on me. Since the Gudmundr update the game has been giving me "Critical Error" everytime I try to do anything, and I mean EVERYTHING! I can't even enter a solo match vs bots or even when I'm the main menu. I'm currently rep300 and this was never an issue before (and no, I didn't change anything related to my internet setup).

For me its not a lack of content, its a lack of *meaningful* content. You can tell when they need to bring in profits when they keep releasing content, but not working on content they already released. Work on core mechanics to bring back players, work on old characters to get players to come back and play their main. Well what’s turns off about the game is the perk that gives you 40% reduction damage when you’re critical health. Honestly that perk is nuts. Also the lock-on tech where you can lock on to an opponent that’s behind the opponent you’re facing in front of you and you throw an unblockable at the opponent behind so the guy front of you can’t parry it. It doesn’t bother me cause I understand the mechanic of it but I can see this becoming an issue for newer players. Logically you should be able to parry but you know how it goes

my heaven would be a for honor 2 where they let you keep all your cosmetics, but on a new game (hell, if you had to buy so that they could guarantee a profit that'd be fine, they could make the game like 30 bucks or something) but where you keep EVERYTHING and the game has a ton of new content, refined mechanics, a bunch of hero changes alongside the launch that have been wanted for ages, like 4-5 hero reworks for those in need, changes to everyone that needed them, new feats, maybe a few heroes too, a couple new maps, and maybe one new like 6v6 mode, along with that some basic gameplay improvements like better hit detections, animation improvements, a higher rep cap or a new mechanic to character prestige, hell, maybe some new gear rarities. However, i think the BIGGEST thing they could do with this is build further into what the game has always been, FANTASY, so many people think this game is supposed to be some historically accurate medieval fighting game, but it's just not, and a second game could let them REALLY build on that, opening a million new ways to add new characters to preexisting factions or entirely new ones through a more distinctly fantasy aesthetic and design, and i feel like this sort of change could renew the dev team's creativity and give us, the players, a game that could last a long, long time.

My problem with for honor was the core combat update in 4v4s. In 1v1 or 2v2 i can understand it making reads instead of reactions is alot better when your only focusing on one or two people but when you have attacks so fast you have to read instead of react when your getting jumped by 3 or 4 people you may as well put the controller down

I would love to test a few simple changes that MAYBE could improve new player experience (and I believe medium-veteran level players may have a potential to enjoy them too) 1) Slow down game JUUUST a little bit. Give players little bit more health and make everything (attacks, dodges, etc.) little bit slower by 15-30%. This would give slower pace for new players to learn and little bit more space for veterans not to get face rolled only because you didn't guess the attack pattern of an enemy (and also works the opposite way so you don't face roll the enemy from 100-0 in a single rotation). 2) Remove soft feint OOOOOR alternatively make sure that every character has an access to it. But honestly I'd prefer it to be removed as it requires a little bit better stamina management. (In addition MY PERSONAL BUT NOT REQUIRED preference would be that feint cost is increased because there's WAY too much guessing right now in the game for my personal taste.) 3) Remove recovery cancels. This makes learning game very hard as many FH mechanics work as simple as "rock paper scissors" but recovery cancels BREAK that idea and game flow. 4) Remove ability to chain after whiffed bashes. I would also consider removing whiffed basic attack combos but it may be little bit too much and limits the potential of 4x4. 5) And of course fix the matcha making system and server issues hehe :)))) PS. I have to honestly admit that I am mostly Duel (1x1) and Brawl (2x2) modes player. I paly 4x4 too but not so often. Thus all the ideas would perfectly fit Duel and Brawl modes. I am not sure that they would work well in 4x4 but at the same time I don't see a specific problem why they would make 4x4 experience in any way worse?

I originally started playing For Honor all the way back in Season 3 of Year 1, basically being a solo queue player for almost this entire time but I personally have had a lot of fun throughout the years. However I recently came back after several months of not playing the game at all; only to be locked out of my own Ubisoft account on PlayStation due to changing my username and apparently broke linking system to the point beyond fixing. So after making a new PSN account and playing for the past fortnight; I can safely say that the servers feel worse than ever before with these constant disconnects nor have I never seen this happen so many times until now. As for the Outlanders; there are always people saying that a certain hero should be deleted but that has said to every character in the game and I especially remember a time when a ton of people wanted the entire Wu Lin faction to be deleted at the release of Marching Fire, though I don't really hate any hero enough to wish for their deletion rather I would like an actual lore reason to why they exist or at most an overhaul on them.

Ubisoft wants to appear inclusive without actually making minorities feel welcome. At least, that's how It feels to me. They are going through the motions outwardly. But we shouldn't forget that this company had a big sexual assault scandal years back, and their response was to shrug and talk about upcoming releases. They also did nothing when a higher up allegedly physically assaulted a siege KZbinr, not relevant, just bonus points. If you make people feel like they aren't included/aren't welcome, you are limiting your potential customers. This is the part ubi is actually concerned with. It's also almost certainly not the reason for their failings. They also are just kinda shit in general. Every single player title is saddled with the burden that is denuvo. All of their titles are rife with microtransations to "skip the grind." When they do "try" to be inclusive it usually comes across as the most vague, corporate shrug imaginable. And to access all of this, you have to use a launcher that appears to barely understand the concept of usability. I will give for honor credit: it's the only reason I have interacted with the uplay launcher in the last 5 years.

I love Ubisofts logic, that characters like Jormungander and Highlander among others who wield these massive and heavy weapons but swing them faster than characters with far lighter weapons like Warden for example, Warden looks like they are swinging an actual greatsword despite using a longsword, same as Black Prior who has a short sword and manages to attack EVEN slower than a guy with a greatsword... The devs must be on some kind of drug to believe this makes any sense

Hot take, but they should bring back the honorable XP boost. It didn’t completely erase ganking but encouraged more respectful fights. I remember whenever you be the last person on your team while you’re breaking and people would line up fighting you one at a time till you died or you ran out of time those were the fun days.

In south american servers the situation is truly sad. 1. The active playerbase is ONLY present in dominion, while duels and brawls take 5-10 minutes queue. So if you want to play For Honor dominion is your go to. 2. If your individual MMR is good as a player who can antigank, if you are not 4-stacked YOU WILL BE PUT IN A LOBBY WHERE EVERY SINGLE TEAM MATE GOBBLES GARBAGE. GUARANTEED NOOBS IN YOUR TEAM IF YOUR MMR IS ABOVE AVERAGE. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. 3. THE ONLY OPTION IS TO 4-STACK, THIS IS A GAME THAT PUNISHES YOU FOR BEING GOOD.

What can make for honor great in my opinion: Give players the option to run perks or gear stats (Bringing back gear stats will give old for honor players a sense of nostalgia, and show new players what old for honor was, it will also give content creators more freedom to show their viewers new stuff, perks will still be around but now you have the options to choose either or. This will also indirectly buff or nerf revenge gain if you run gear stats so thats a plus) Make some feats teachbles like dead by daylights perk system (Alright im not saying make all feats teachable, because it won't work for all characters like soheis feats. But the older ones should be like LB 4 bombs, HL final feat, basically feats that aren't character specific. Yes if paired with gear stats and perk you will have unstoppable characters but at least some of the weaker characters will be able to make op feat builds and have options in customization in feats and perk/stat builds.) Increase steel and exp gain for all modes. (I dont know about you but i do find deathmatch modes to be very fun, especially skirmish. If the devs give more exp and steel gain for the other modes like tribute, skirmish, and elimination, there would be more options for players to play and keep for honor fresh) Introduce new modes (Why is it that we are still waiting for 1v1v1, we had an event for this specific mode and it was highly successful and is highly requested by the community to be a permanent mode, and yet its still not here. I don't know about you but i at least want testing grounds show casing new modes to be tested and seeing if the community wants the mode to be added or not. Maybe we can try to see if free-for-all is worth adding?) And thats my opinion to make for honor fresh for the players. SolidSol, what do you think?

I think they should definitely add a spartan or 2 and give tribute a make over with special rewards or something also they need to bring stunning tap back or at the very least a stunning knee kick back. Servers need to be worked on too

As a new player on pc that uses controller, I really love this game, but the latency, the input drop, and not being able to fight back, we need a quality of life update first, hwat me out, destiny has a fireteam finder and clans, what if we just had a skill based match making team finder and a clan hub, that way you can possibly make friends, show off drip and get better through duels, maybe give it a friendly comp system as a faction rank? Then a massive dlc, make a new faction, new maps, new faction focused rewards, new modes and honestly, reduce the grand for steel, took me 6 weeks to get highlander because I couldn't play consistently due to wanting to put my head through a wall lol

The biggest issue with the new heroes, regardless of whether or not you wanna complain about gender locking or whatever, is that they don't feel like random characters you can make your own, they feel like established characters. Like there could be a 100 lawbringers, but there feels like there can only be one Medjay or Ocelotl. The new characters are overtuned, old characters are crippled by power creep with the exception being a handful of characters, the story they're making makes zero sense, and the only matchmaking is so royally bad on a fundamental level that rep 0s who just turned on the game are getting stomped by rep 1000s who haven't seen the sun in a decade. There's rumors of Ubisoft going tits up because of how bad their management is and how poor their games are doing and they're refusing to actually fix any of it. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next couple of years they go bankrupt and all these games go offline. I hope not, but Ubi has failed so many times in the past decade that it's a shock they're still even here

You mentioned Cyberpunk but I feel that comparison wasn't the best since Project Red actively said with each delay "the game is not ready" meaning that while yes they kept delaying it was to make sure the game was better however people overlook the amount of entitled whining people did even going as far as to send death threats to the devs and the higher ups applying pressure to release were the two main problems that resulted in Cyberpunks release state. Ubisoft however release their games under the premise of "its finished" when they aren't

The amount of time it takes to group up with friends because of the server issues and the amount of time you get kicked in the middle of the game is the biggest reason I don't enjoy this game that much anymore almost every second game you get kicked lag or one of your mates get kicked then out of the game regroup which takes multiple restarts and so on is just outrageous
