Unlike concepts as the CR Cup, i get the feeling that this one seems harder to get done in the western fgc... became of how players egos are around here. People probably wouldnt agree to get on a very clearly unfavorable situation... only if there are solid chances of coming out well from it. They would not risk embarassing themselves to the same level of these japanese players. But i dont know, maybe that's possible involving few fgc boomers who put the public entertainment above anything.
@crazymumbo5 ай бұрын
The US is also just so much bigger than Japan. Some of them would have to work out time zones at the minimum. I can't really imagine that any of the older players would want to travel, especially since we KNOW there will be absolutely no money in this.

And a lot of people in the fgc bring up generation wars and speaking badly of zoomers and all, but im sure most would refuse joining a similar event if made in the US. Like taking a young beginner who is a good learner to face SF boomers. Yeah, "og high level player" only means someone who gained above average ability taking the game seriously in its highest period, and that could be just an older game and not the newest one. Doesnt mean an old player who is still famous ("influencer"), or still a big tournament winner, or sponsored (a very recent situation for a genre born in the early 90s), etc... The definition doesnt need to match conditions that have been changed by the modern fgc dynamics. So even John Choi counts even if he is no longer notable (internet notable) in the fgc... as long as he plays SF6.
