The ankle bracelet's block all their Ki, and without their Ki they just have normal human bodies, which is why they can't overpower goz and mez. so everyone is pretty much on equal footing power level wise, which is why he is not strong enough to rip off his leg

By the Cell Saga, most of their strength comes from ki control, not raw physical strength. I have no problem imagining Cell and Frieza as having similar levels of physical strength in HFIL. Cell does get a moment to shine later on.

@@REDvsBLUE4E Not really. Freiza's potential is nuts, but Cell's perfect form is weeks old, he's never trained once. There's no reason to believe his potential doesn't surpass his if he decided to train like the tyrant.

Like everyone has mentioned, the reason Frieza was able to manhandle Cell is because of the ankle bracelets they wear restricting their ki usage. That puts everyone almost on even ground. Also I agree with another comment on here, you should check out MasakoX’s Raditz What If story, it is really well done and if I’m right, his most popular What If story? You’ll really like it ^^

5:54 and 5:58 - This will be explained later on. 7:05- It's funny that Freeza has no desire to reform himself even if he was to die a million times. And yet he's the only villain that gets away from Hell and revived. This happens in Dragon Ball Super.

Frieza did mention in Super that he never took time to train, all his power was just raw genetics. Cell has shown and has used techniques to boost his power level, like the Muscle form he made fun of Future Trunks for using.

This is some of the best worldbuilding exercises ever made by fans. I love the aspect of "What happens after" since between the end of Z and GT we really saw little to nothing. Plus... it's TFS comedy so i call this series a win. Also s new episode came out a couple of days ago. Glad you stuck with the after-series bonuses :D

If you think about it, a lot of time passes since "freezer" died, they waited 3 years for the androids to show up, and cell said in this video that he waited a year in line, so at least 4-5 years have passed for freezer to train to get stronger than Cell

Anyway during the Saiyan saga Goku fell down to Hell. Except that you couldn't say Hell on the age range the show was aired on. So it was censored to HFIL (Home For Infinite Losers). Team FourStar took the joke and ran with it during their abridged series.

Yeah, that was what anime was like for us back then. Just three or four episodes was like $20-30 for each volume/set. Given it was during the VHS and early DVD days, so having that much on one tape or disc was fantastic in our eyes, but nowadays is a big rip off. I remember getting VHS tapes and DVDs of Dragon Ball Z for around that price and it only had three or four episodes. Then you'd have to wait weeks to a month or so for the next volume/set to release in stores

If you were really lucky, you knew someone that had a boxed set; it's thanks to knowing someone with a boxed set that I was able to watch Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 and most of Rurouni Kenshin without dropping $700 on DVDs. That's right. For the price of one anime and most of a second one, you could buy _three Dreamcasts._ Or a couple of PlayStation 2s and a copy of *_The Bouncer._* The only question remaining to be answered is how many of you out there read it out loud and in the right voice.

As far as Frieza vs. Cell goes, the going theories are that either Frieza has been training in HFIL on the sly, or the ankle bracelets just restrict enough of their respective Ki that they're even enough for Frieza to hurt Cell.

I think Frieza is probably the strongest person down their aside from the ogres. His race seems to be ahead of Saiyans in terms of raw power so it stands to reason stripped of Ki he’d still have a lot going on.

DVD's 2002 to 2010 were very much 4 episodes per episode...mostly for 26 episodes (the average anime serise) they usually could put more episode on as you could see 6 episodes per Disc, so in about 6 to 7 DVD's you could have an entire Boxset of one anime. Costing between 100 to 200, now....some companies did a little thing were the later DVD's would only have 3 episodes and cost the same. So you could end up on 8 or 10 DVD's!!! I did pay 20 for one 45 min anime (still have the DVD) Metal Skin Panic Maddox 01...if I did not love the 45 min anime as much as I do, I would be upset. I bought the Burn Up Excess DVD's individually and cost me 80 odds, while after 2012 when streaming was a challenger you could pick up 26 ep box sets for 40 or 50 maybe even less. I picked up Ghost in the shell Stand Alone Complex Gig 1 for 30 and Gig 2 for 40. Each one being 26 episodes odds, so a decent deal.

If you haven’t checked it out yet MasakoX, the VA for DBZA Goku/Gohan has a channel where he goes through a lot of DBZ “What If’s”. One of his first What If’s involved Raditz surviving and what impact that might have on the story. Other than the What If’s he has a podcast story with several voice actors called “Revelation F”, which is a spinoff of his “What If Frieza Turned Good” and is about Friezas Star Trek-like adventures in space with his crew (which even includes Yamcha).

oh that's right! You're one of these millennials like my kids. They never believed me either. They think it's old man talk like walking to school uphill in the snow, both ways. But yes, anime was incredible difficult to get anime. Yeah. Even in SoCal, where you'd think this stuff would be easy to find. You'd have to got to a Virgin Megastore and pay $25 or more for a DVD that might have 3-4 episodes. And don't imagine you could complete a collection. That was special item was a box set. Only 5 available during Christmas. This was in the 90's when downloading from the internet was still a pipe dream. And if someone did post it, 240p was the best resolution and still took 12 minutes to download.

I think Raditz could have been an excellent villain for Super Hero since the movie wanted to focus on Piccolo, Gohan and Pan. And use him without changing the plot of the Red Ribbon army to much. Imagine if after Goku, Piccolo and Raditz battle, when they leave Raditz there the Red Ribbon Army survivor (Dr. Gero) was alerted through his little bug who follow all Z Fighter to collect data, they now tell the scientist that Goku was soooo much more powerful because he was from a alien race of Warrior and that the body of one is now laying there for whoever wants to use. They gather his body that had been left to rot and start experiment on him. We've seen how super powerful they could make human when changing there body, so imagine if they would have had the body of a Saiyan to turn into a Cyborg. Especially with all this time to work on him. Having a villain come back that Piccolo and Gohan were ESSENTIAL on his defeat would have been really great to remind Gohan why it is important to keep training. Sure it would have worked better if Pan was THE principal character, the powerscaling would make a lot more sens of course, but I would not mind too much if they were able to upgrade his body so much that he can pose probleme for Gohan and Piccolo since Gohan slacked off again. And if they wanted it could have also been a perfect time to introduce him back and bring him to the side of the heroes too. Maybe he knows he's being controlled by the Gero family and for him its a faith worse than having to stop his murderous spree and he agrees to turn good if they give him back the control of his mind. Anyway, I still see potential on how Raditz could come back and I really love his character and ABSOLUTELY love his design ahah. #justiceforraditz

This is basically just a more mundane version of the real Frieza's hell. They're all forced to just be... lame. They're a community of world destroying elites and now they've been reduced to normal people. It's definitely not so bad for Raditz and the Ginyus, but for Frieza and (by extension, I guess.) Cell, it's a life of severe mundanity the likes of which they've never had to deal with. Give it a week or two and they're gonna be trying to off themselves just to get out of there.
