Watching Uzumaki felt like I was witnessing some Lovecraftian horror unfolding before my eyes and for good reason cuz Ito was heavily influenced by Lovecraft but the best thing about his works are that he brings out his own originality to the said horror genre and makes something completely unique and different without restricting himself from the constraints that plague the genre as a whole dude’s crazy good at his craft.

The best thing about the manga was that the town itself felt like a breathing character which developed and started to spread its fangs over the people... But since the anime is gonna be just 4 eps, judging by the pacing they are going with, I fear if they'll be able to establish the town as a character [example of town being a character - Morioh town in Jojo part 4- Diamond is unbreakable]

Maine dekha first episode and I love it. Mai khud ko rok nahi paya aur maine manga ki 1st chapter padhali. Which is 50% similar and 50% different. May be wo aage ke episode me dikhaya jayega (by the way its my first manga). But ab control nahi ho raha 2nd episode ke liye. Suggest someone should I wait till complet anime or should I read manga before?

3:29 well not technically because Manga uses hatching and grain all the time. In the anime the hatching looks more like speedlines and almost no grain for texture on the face, giving it a smoother finish. So yes I think we can tell the difference. But yaa character designs are very close to the original as it was Nagahama's vision to use the rotoscoping + detailed CDs to make it feel more creepy and couple that with Director Nagahama's choice on making no compromise on drawing quality mean the anime required a very high level of dradtmanship. Which has contributed to its quality that we see on screen and also the delays. I think this way the point you were getting at could be better explained and emphasized.

I think saying character designs were the closest to the manga out of any anime that came recently would be a good way to say what he meant. It's subjective and personal so I understand. I just like videos that are precisely detailed.

Flowers of Evil was a very ambitious adaptation and I actually like the art style that Nagahama picked for it. It didn't work always and anime definitely has flaws but I think it's an anime that gets an overlay bad rep for overtly exaggerated reasons for its steps away from the norm of what an anime should be.

Well I have watched aku no hana and even read manga and as an one who have read and watched both but I will say I love the anime too much it's one of shows which I will never forget just because of Nagahama for Rotoscoping is the best thing abt Aku No Hana and that unsettling music especially the Ed I would the direction of Aku No Hana anime is one of the best direction in any fiction you just feel unsettled at the end I just wish that one day they would complete Aku no hana anime and damn I don't why they hate Rotoscoping I know anime had flaws but beautiful atmospheric techniques of Rotoscoping of Aku No Hana it makes it best

@@kami_OwO tru I mean ya remember that episode where the mc and that psycho girl Nakamura decide to leave their town and that girl who love mc met and seen how that whole episode is executed the cinematography the Rotoscoped animation and the soundtrack how well it was Directed I thought that I am watching an live action or somethin that well it was executed and the last episode that end of last episode where we see many scene from the further story with that ending song damn I won't say about the story but as an show as an director he has done the best work and I mean he is also the creator of Mushishi another another device rated piece of art in anime medium I hope he get what he deserves.

1st episode was pretty good, and delivered what promised, but when i noticed they are skipping manga panels, it made me disappointed. it feels rush. it lacks the anime essence where some unnecessary shots were animated just for the comfort of viewers eyes, or maybe to flex their animation. they aren't doing that.... 4 episodes would be not good choice, 6 episode would do the great job. 🙂🙂🙂
