I feel like everyone saying that there were no developments between these lives don’t understand that they are children!! The only couples who were more forthcoming with their feelings were the older ones who can actually act on those feelings. I like that they showed subtleties in the kids relationships so you know who’s gonna be with who eventually but that obviously these kids have to grow older and mature before they get with who they get with. This story isn’t a romance so of course we’re not gonna see a whole bunch of fluff. Would I have liked more scenes with them? Of course! Tbh, the romance wasn't fleshed out at all in Demon Slayer. Like I get it's a a Shounen but Tanjirou and Kanao were the only two that actually felt sincere. You forgot the weirdest ship: Douma x Shinobu. You did mention that the opposite of love isn't hate but indifference and, well....Douma really loves Shinobu and Shinobu really hates Douma. Not really, one's bona fide trash, one just wanna live a normal life. Douma basically deserves zero sympathy, was a literal textbook psychopath, and his proclamation of "love" makes as much sense as Jeffrey Dahmer claiming to love all the victims he ate. Whereas Inosuke was an orphan from a very young age and raised by a boar, with a serious lack of mother or mother figure, and Aoi gave out pretty strong motherly vibe. Oedipus complex is definitely a thing, and in this case it's not that creepy at all.

I liked his design and character so much that I ended up creating female version of him but specifically for my KNY Yokai AU. Don’t need to read this next part but if you’re interested. Go ahead. In my KNY Yokai AU, Yokai and Humans used to coexist and the Yokai would usually help the humans and in return were given food offerings and cultures and many would protect the humans from the Yokai causing trouble however it was until some time during the Sengoku Period, the Yokai chose to go into hiding due to some demon slayers mistaking them for demons and there was a scandal in the Corps which I will not talk about. But sometime during the Edo Period, Yōkai would crossover from the Yokai Realm and into the human realm because there had been Onryo starting to cross into the human realm and that there had been a secret organization created by the Yokai purposely for slaying Onryo.

That awkward moment when you realize that, due to several of the characters discussed in this video being siblings with at least one person from any of the other pairings here, the vast majority of them would have ended up being in-laws in the event that they lived and all the Demon Slayer Corps couples got married. Considering the personalities of several of those characters, one can only imagine how crazy a Kamado-Tsuyuri-Agatsuma-Hashibira-Kanzaki-Kocho-Tomioka-Shinazugawa family gathering could potentially get.

I don’t think Giyuu’s remaining less than 3 years is enough for him to open up to a woman and actually get married (demon slayer mark curses those who unlock it to die beron reaching the age of 25). It’s either a reincarnation or a relative’s descendant. But I would lean more to Giyuu staying single and being reincarnated, because he was shown to be with Sabito and Makomo, as much as Shinobu with Kanae, Muichiro with his twin, etc. Unlike Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, and Kanao, it was very obvious that they’re the true descendants as their relationships even got mixed up.

While you missed out a few things there bro. before muzan's final battle, yushiro ask lady tamayo if she would get reincarnated is it ok to be together, she nod and oblidge. So yushiro on modern era painted and waited for her to be reborn. Also, giyu and shinibo on the manga in the animation helping yae on the village was really cute. I think that's why people ship them together, That's after he meet tanjiro and nesuko, and before he help tanjiro against rui. That's why after their mission they were also sent together to help tanjiro in the mountain. While helping yae on that village, Both really opened up on each other there, shinubo noticed giyu change and he even smiled at her.
