20:35 Off topic, But I LOVE the hidden detail about just how POWERFUL he really is. Without his staff which makes most magic easier for him, Was was going to dispel the storm without issue. But she has to _struggle WITH_ the staff to keep the storm going while at the same time fight against his magic to do so. (Spoilers below) AND there were other mages helping her to make the storm happen. It took her with his staff and however many more mages to counter him WITHOUT the enhancements from his staff.

It's even crazier than that. They DIDN'T actually overpower his magic. He noticed that the storm was being controlled and allowed it to happen so he wouldn't tip off whoever was doing it until he had a better idea of what was going on.

I love how far Rudy's come; the scene with Sylpie in the cave is a great example. Early Rudy (literally, the Rudy that Slypie grew up with) would've pounced on the opportunity to undress a young woman. Now he's being respectful and later he's genuinely apologetic and is worried that he hurt her feelings. Really went from being a full pervert with some mild heroic tendencies to a hero with some mild perverted tendencies.

@@error.exehasceasedfunction i mean, all the roxy items, most of them he has given them away, and rudy would definetely worship anything by Roxy, not specifically the underwear, he sold and then left the roxy statue under zanoba care, which symbolises their master-disciple as fellow otakus, he gave the wand he received from her to sylphie, when he rescued and taught her how to defend herself, and gave the pendant roxy gifted him at his 5th bday to ruijerd so that he guarded it and symbolizes their friendship and trust on each other, that leaving only the panties, which to note, basically have no scent and are pretty much clean, the only value they have is "being owned by roxy" and nothing else, no stains no odor, nothing, just the memory of being owned by the one who opened his world

In scene of the morning after, I think the blood on the sheets is a parallel to the end of S1 when Rudeus sees Eris's *red* hair on the ground. You can see his face full of pain when he sees the *red* stain

With how much attention to detail you pay to a studio/anime's attention to detail, I'm kinda surprised you missed that when Zenoba was crying he actually had tears on his lenses due to the angle he was holding his head. As someone who wears glasses I really loved that detail.

Reading the LN from the start when season 2 came out and now at VOL20, I can't get enough of the detail in this series. Both the anime and LN have lots of detail that goes a massive way for me.

Man... I still get chills from that Nanahoshi episode, Its easily my favorite MT episode so far. Even though I've read the LNs and knew what was coming it still had me at the edge of my seat, in large part thanks to incredible VA work from both Wakayama Shion & Kayano Ai. Kayano Ai especially nailed the emotional rage filled scream of Sylphie, simply amazing...!

Peak fiction hits it again. None other show is that rich in maturity, complexity, and emotions. Rudeus is an amazing MC, show has three best girls, and the adaptation is treated with so much love and respect it pours out of every scene. It's a privilege to watch this show.

23:58 When i first saw that wine scene i was worried she had drugged the wine and so releaved when she pulled the bottle out and asked him then. I didn't think she would but seeing him with that bottle from the first season at that time I 100% know he would have messed with someones drink but he might have then felt so guilty to not act on it. At this stage I don't get the same feeling from him and that he would have stopped someone if they planned on doing it.

What a nice timing. I just finished watching the series and could combo it with your video. I was worried when I heard many people complaining about this second season, but I really didn't get it. As you stated in first part, I think it's perfectly well written consequences and character growth. I'd even say that I preferred this second season over the first, as I'm more into personal drama than epic fight scenes and the likes. I also think one thing MT does really well is how the author chose to treat sexuality as a main plot point. It's not perfect, some scenes are a bit cringy to me etc, but overall it's WAY better than your average anime just making the main character horny then being hit for easy slapstick comedy, or the opposite with a character totally oblivious to all girls wanting his D. So yeah, really curious to see how it'll keep evolving from now on. As usual thanks for the video !

@shadowreacts5618 The animation was fine for what was needed, when more action or intense scenes called for it they did use it. With staff being moved around and such it was fine and a good adaptation. Next cour will need to push the animation up a notch for what will be covered. If they were saving resources and time for the next cour or even next season its perfectly fine since what happens later will need the animation season 1 set the bar at, have to wait and see.

No clue for your plan at tackling One Piece but I suggest the first video covering until the end of Arlong Park; The one after covering until the end of Drum Island; and the third ending on the Alabasta Arc being done. @@AnimeWins No I was saying the video covers like 43-45 episodes and just be extra length. But then again That arc (Arlong) is where my love for the series starts. But 6 is fine that just means more vids from you. Not sure that early One Piece will get many Wins; That is my bias but I have seen the first 375 episodes about 7 times now because for years that was all of one piece I could watch. Pirate Bay style. ^ works good for story beats tho. Later on you might want to change to 10 if possible as some later arcs drag on at a slower pace (less happens in them). But that will be like Part 100 something by the time you reach it going 6 at a time.

They skipped a part in cave part, after protecting Ariel for so many years she has a bunch of battle scars, rudy shows that he isn't superficial and cares about her no matter things like that. It was a good subtle way to se rudys development

Just one correction at 10:18 the guy from Vinland saga is Thorkell. Also 1 thing that you might have missed at 24:00 the design on the bottle is the same as the one used in early s1 when Rudy goes shopping with Eris and Elaine. Nice consistency as it was mentioned that it's a luxury good and it's not far of that the crazed grayrats would have one nearby

The use of foreshadowing in this show is insane: Point 1: Rudy praying to the red bubble to make beautiful women rain from the sky. Point 2: when Roxy is describing her idea way to fall in love with someone, she would want to get saved by someone when she gets fully entrapped in a labritnth. And mom is in a deep labyrinth Point 3: Roxy has info for Rudy about said mom. Take a look at the letter casing and the casings sent from the letter from episode 4 episode. So Roxy, being a graduate of the magic university herself, got him accepted. Why find him when you an have him find youw

I think the major reason why I like MT so much unlike other shows is because they treat each episode as an individual story with its own ups and downs, while also making the episodes connect together to form a large story... just wow

It's been interesting watching this show this season. The animation was never bad, but it feels like the quality has increased dramatically since the beginning of the season, like the animators are finally hitting their groove again after all the top tier staff left after the end of the first season. Very impressed, even if it was technically a downgrade in quality. Clearly the project is still well loved by the staff.
