I think it's safe to say that Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai gave us the biggest "void". For me I guess it was just seeing how it would have been if somebody helped me growing up. 2 years later: after binge watching season 1 and the movie I wholly agree. This is a real gem and very smartly written. We get a clear romance that grows and partners that help each other. Let me shout that: PARTNERS THAT HELP EACH OTHER. Because this story is not about the main character, it about the main couple who works on themselves as romance as well help each other in solving issues. There are no funny and stupid "oh, you are with another girl, you cheat on me" moments. You get "you want to help that girl, but you can't simpl,y do it alone, this is why I fucking help you. And because I want to sleep in your house as well." This is very lovely and caring for the heart.

This show was so genuinely touching, I thoroughly enjoyed it the entire way through and was satisfied that I'd finally found a good anime after binging like four in a row that were bad. And then I reached the end and it made me actually cry. Instant 10/10 score for me. The interesting premise, the realistic character reactions, and the relationship between the MC and her being realistic while also ideal really got me. If anyone has any recommendations for other anime with a similar relationship (realistic while also goals) I'd love to hear them.

The anime was better than what the clickbait title says. I was crying during episode 10 to 13 (and some episodes in the start) and I was scream crying for 1 mins after the ending. When the screen said ‘thanks for watching’ it was like they where telling me ‘it’s fine, it’ll be okay now. You can rest’ and they where fucking right because after everything I just went to sleep. This anime is pure fucking art. It took ToraDora 25 episodes for me to cry my eyes out and this anime does it 10x better in just 13 episodes.

ok i finished the whole series (anime and movie) and now I know why its called “Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai” ⚠️ Spoiler Warning ⚠️ Ok lets break it down: 1: Rascal: It refers to the nickname given to Sakuta by his friends 2: Does not dream of: In the movie, Sakuta went back in time and the main component of it included going to sleep and *Dreaming* a better reality 3: Bunny girl senpai: The outfit Mai was wearing the first time Sakuta met her, Senpai because she attends his school and is a year older than him Final Breakdown: Sakuta does not wish to *Dream* (the special type of “dream”) and forget Mai-san, I bet some meaning was lost in translation, but here is a more clear (but less cohesive and not as cool) title: “Sakuta does not want to forget Mai-san” hope that explained it if you have a different theory tell me by replying to this comment, ill be interested to know :)

The movie theater was packed and at the height of the movie, everyone was like, "OH SHIT!" Then when it went down from there, everyone got more and more relieved until the other thing that happened near the end of the movie, then at the end, everyone was on their feet clapping. It was so good everyone was waiting for a glimpse at the end of the credits, but there was none. I saw a lot of people start crying on the way out. 10/10 would recommend when it comes out to CrunchyRoll probably in a couple months. Hopefully season 2 will start airing when they get more source material.

Especially that bit about how problems we have growing up don't just magically disappear when we get older and it's our experiences that make us who we are, and how we interact with the world. So yes, it may be a "phase" but there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make it any less painful or difficult at the time when we are dealing with these issues. It doesn't make what we go through any less deserving of attention. As adults, it's our job to help guide future generations and be good role models for them. It's our job to show them compassion, kindness, integrity, and respect. Because how can we expect future generations to develop those traits if we ourselves do not practice them? If we ourselves do not show them empathy and brush them off as "just a phase" or teenage angst? If we ourselves do not show them respect, simply because they are younger? Right from the very first episode, I loved how this anime put into words that social pressure, that "atmosphere" that too often suffocates us, stifles creativity and uniqueness, and excludes those who don't follow it? Growing up I always felt kind of like an outsider. Like everybody else had a script that I, for some reason, didn't. Maybe that was just my imagination, maybe others didn't avoid me or think me strange at all. Whether they did or didn't, I will never know, but regardless those feelings of social exclusion were for all intents and purposes my reality, and those experiences have shaped me into who I am today. I still feel like an outsider, like everybody has a script for how to socialize and make friends that I never received. I'm not really sure where I was going with this lol, I guess I just wanted to talk about my experiences growing up and one of the reasons I love this anime. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't already seen it!

While Kaede DOES appear to follow the Eromanga route, there is a few key differences: 1. She is NOT in love with her brother, just really attached to him. 2. She has a REASON to be so attached other than plot convenience. He is LITERALLY her only connection to the outside world, and more or less the only person in her life besides cats. Spoilers ahead When her adolescence syndrome took affect, it damaged her in such a way that even hearing a cellphone ring frightens her. Where are their parents? Well, her mother is currently hospitalized after (something about Kaede's condition giving her a mental breakdown) and her father is taking care of mother, leaving their highly unstable daughter in the hands of their son. He is LITERALLY the last person she has left (besides cats), and I think anyone would feel the same attachment as she fells for her big brother. Overall, she is a FAR SUPERIOR character to all those other imouto tropes, and as a big brother myself, she really sets off my elder brother instincts. So yeah, good character, great show, keep up the amazing work, RDNDOBGS 😊

Comparing Kaede and Komachi (hachiman's young sis) isnt really apple to apple. While it's Sakuta who take care on Kaede, Hachiman is being supported entirely by Komachi (even in his romantics life). I was not ready for the BRILLIANCE of this show. I am a grown ass man and I am literally crying as I type this. (Damn you Kaede, you adorable creature...) Seriously, there was not a single thing I disliked about this show save for the very VERY end and this dislike is minor at worst and trivial at best and does not in any way, shape, or form take away from the experience. The writing, the witty banter, the character work.... I have never seen it done better. When I first heard about this series, I was expecting just another ecchi series like the title may suggest but.... It wasn't. In fact, it was the complete opposite. Everything served a good story telling purpose, even the freaking bunny girl outfit!! I have never liked emotional anime like this. I never have. Because more often than not, it was either super depressing because one or more characters died and were the source of the emotion or it just didn't click with me at all and I get no connection to the characters and this don't care about any of what is happening. But with this show... It had me 100% hooked from start to finish. In fact, it even tickled a part of me that I forgot even existed up until now because Ive never had a show that could appeal to it. I literally cannot remember the last time any anime has ever made me cry, whether from joy or sadness. And the love story.... Believable and in fact exactly the relationship that I would absolutely treasure if I had it with someone. The constant back and forth of witty banter, the truly affectionate moments, Mai being amazing and Sakuta being a lovable asshole and at the same time pretty much the perfect support that everyone needed and it still be 100% believable just made the show for me and everything else was just extra credit that they knocked out of the park! And on a bit of a side note, the fact that pretty much every character could take a hint whenever someone liked them or was mad, or sad, etc is something that we NEVER see in anime but here it is!! Admittedly, I literally just finished this wonderful show and am still riding the emotional high, but I believe that my opinion of this show will not chance under an objective point of view either. And as lengthy as this comment is... It took me awhile to put it into words. 11/10 I need Season 2 NOW. Also, Mai is best girl. *FIGHT ME*

I watched this anime 3 days ago and i found your channel today. Thanks for half an hour of entertainment. (i literally freaking paused on almost everything, nearly died of laughing and watched the scene at least 3 more times, nearly dying over and over in the process) It is absolutely true, what you said. I love this anime despite being absolutely clickbait. This anime caused this feeling deep in me, that i want to have exactely what they have. Everyone who has ever watched a decent anime must know this feeling about having a shit ass life. As well as occasional exestential dreads. On this particular anime this feelings were at least 5 times stronger than in any other I have ever seen. So consequentially I was lying in my bed for the last like 2 to 3 days, thinking about the absolutely useless me, who hasn't even managed to get a hug from a girl ever. This anime as well as your channel are both masterpieces on their own. Combined however, they make the by far funniest and most entertaining video of this decade. (excluding the fact it has been out since 2018, where i was a 13 year old fat, friendless human like creature, playing Fortnite all day long which has never even heard of the word anime before...ok, the only difference to now is my age ans the fact, that i watch animes on occasional instances) I just want to apprechiate the work you have done nearly 4 years ago. Despite the fact nobody will probably read this comment ever, I just wanted to thank you for making my day better with something you probably can't even remember making. My gosh, i'm lovin this video
