That is that WoE called him 'Subaru-KUN'. I emphasize in the 'KUN' honorific. Who in the country of Lugnica would call Subaru with an honorific; Subaru-kun? REM. Subaru got angry at WoE primarily because she called him Subaru-kun because it was only Rem who would address him that as and Subaru wouldn't let anyone else but Rem call him that. The main cause of this loss in translation was because YenPress never leaves in honorifics. Who cares about Rem though? You may ask? To that I say to them, everyone else then isn't important. Because Rem is important to him the same way he cares for Emilia. Ergo, he also loves Rem and cherishes her.

But in the LN his emotions whenever he encounters Satella are always very vague and confusing so I can't exclude the possibility that he might be saying that to Satella wishing to save her from something after seeing her crying. First possibility feels a lot more likely though.

Explaining Garfiel and why he acts different every time (In my opinion not fact): He has a beast nature that lets him act on the instinct and can sense people's intents(instinctly no magic afaik) to some degree. When people are honest with him, he is friendly. When someone is suffering, he tries to help. However if someone is being sneaky, hiding something, nomatter if it is for a good cause or not he is annoyed by this without thinking things trough. That is why he dislikes Roswaal and likes Ram. Ram is blunt and has sharp tongue. He won't mind if someone is messing with him if it is a direct, honest confrontation. That is actually something throws of Subaru since he got used to making hidden plans to reach happy ending.

It really does surprise me that the Witch of Envy has apparently no control over her time-manipulation-powers. If she had, she would have at least reset the checkpoint, if not travelled back in time herself to end things... Plus, I was really surprised that after the respawn Satella didn't reappear. PS: technically Subaru has met Echidona only once on request and once by trial. Thus, he could probably trigger again the second meeting by request.

Satella did not reappear after the reset because Subaru did not renter Echidonas dream and remeet the other witches. He was only able to renter the second time because as his mind was shattering all he could think was "why?" short of the surprise of the brutality of the great rabbit it would be near impossible to replicate that circumstance.

It all depends on her motivations and how the things that happen affect her. You have to consider that her emotional state was high immediately after his chat with Echidna and she probably calmed down after some time passed (and the shock from Subaru killing himself). Envy is a strong emotion that can overwhelm reason. I believe that Satella is more intelligent than we saw here and that she has long-term plans for Subaru but she simply lost control. I also think she does have full control over Subaru's checkpoints and she's using them as a way to guide him towards doing what she wants. She didn't reset his checkpoint after she possessed Emilia because that wasn't really what she wanted to happen.

I just realized that when Subaru told Satella that she’ll save her, it was technically the second time he said that to Satella, remember when Subaru and Emilia first met? Subaru knew Emilia as Satella first, and when they first died at chapter 1 volume 1, she told “Satella” that he’ll save her, just like what he said on season 2 episode 10.

I like your weekly analysis as always! Re:Zero for me now is comparable with anime legents like Hunter x Hunter, Full Metal Alchemist and Attack on Titan. Its from those rare cases that an anime is super popular and masterpiece the same time. I would say we actually know why the Witch of Jealousy came in that loop. There was a little hint in the LN from Echidna about it and it was in the anime aswell but without knowing it you would normally not spot that. Two hints if we count the handcerchief aswell. This is the first time i do not agree with a tiny statement. The Ryuzu imitations were never intended to bring the original Ryuzu Meyer back, that was only Subarus first thought (because he compared that to his own worlds stories). Ryuzu Bilma stated it from the beginning that the experiment was a success and she is proof of it. The experiment was still considered a success despite Ryuzu Meyer being unsufficient as Echidnas vessel without the compression because Echidna never had the chance to test the compression method.
