What an amazing and soulful way to pay homage to the Guru! Pandit ji always loved to play ragas where shadow of Chhaya are prominent, an example being chhayanat. Proud of you Anirban. It was an impeccable performance.

Thank you for sharing with us the beauties of a rare raag. I had listened to both ChhAyA-naT and ChAyA-MalhAr, and I knew that Chaaya was hiding in both of them imparting its own flavor! Now I am able to have a better grasp of that hidden rasa! Thank you so much!

I'm speechless. Really unbelievable to find this concert! It is profound and soul touching musical experience! I am spellbound by the rendition. This is for God's ears only. I am lucky to be able to listen to this divine music. Great Bengal's hall of fame must treasure the notes on the strings of Sarod created by this master genius for eternity.
Disappointing performance from a very good musician. The endless sequence of tehais keeps the raag from developing. I prefer to remember one exquisite Hamir he had broadcast from AIR Kolkata in the mid-90s. Anirban was much more "surela" in those days and his stroke also became harsher... But kudos to FEA for giving this unassuming musician an opportunity. Ishaan Ghosh is very good.

You are right. I haven't heard the Hamir that you mentioned. Unfortunately, Chhaya seems to be an endless round of tihais.
