On 12 December 1994, Dutch TROS television broadcasted this interview with Anita Ekberg, who became world famous when she baded in the Trevi foundation in Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". I love Anita Ekberg! She was a beautiful woman and took on many roles many other beauties would never dare (Killer Nun, Malenka, etc...) Her role in "La Dolce Vita" is probably one of my least favorite of hers, as it was basically just a photo shoot captured on film. She is incredibly candid and fun to watch in interviews, isn't she?!

you know. . . i dont know why people build marilyn monroe up so much.i bet had jayne mansfield or mamie van doren the would have been the top blonde in hollywood.but as for me i think anita had a moder look for her time.she and sophia where the only actress too wear there hair down long and curly,while all others had it pinned up.she was never really givin a big break.but was a very famous model.there is something about girls from europe that americans cant grasp!

If you read your 1st comment ,you dissed Anita pretty good saying "she could never act her way out of a paper bag". A person who likes her would not make a remark like that. I don't care how many PhD's you have you got your information from a disgruntled reporter who obviously had a grudge against her. I was a director's aide and saw in person how stupid MM really was and how she kept E1 waiting for hrs because of her insecurities. Anita was a Professional was always on time&never caused delays

She might not have been a great actress, but to call her '"ice" is utterly ridiculous... Anita could melt a glacier with her beauty , her figure put Marilyn in the Minor leagues, and she was smarter than MM , at least she could remember her lines and was on time, and she spoke better English than Bardot as well as out acted Bardot there-fore Anita was better than both of them. Anita Eckberg the most beautiful blond ever to grace the Silver Screen. Only a blind moron would put her down.

Anita Ekberg believe me turned just as many heads if not more than MM with her stunning beauty both from men and women. You never liked Bardot, yet you say she was a GIANT compared to Ekberg? Isn't that just a bit contradictory ?
