I tried using DeAtramentis archive ink Pilot VP Decimo F nib in my Tomoe River paper planners. I had trouble with hard starts overnight. I discussed that issue with reps from the Pilot booth at the 2023 Dallas Pen Show. He recommended using Pilot inks. He was right. No issues. So now, that’s all I use in my VP.

Agreed. Now when I have trouble with a Pilot pen, I default to a Pilot ink.

Asa-Gao is one of my favorite inks. Yes, the M800 piston is brass. I also love Bah Humbug.

My Duna Regal Skies in fine also skips and hard starts. I widened the tines a bit and it is better but still needs a little more work. Lovely pens as always.

I just tried a shimmer ink in my dark green Kaweco for the first time this week and I had to straight unink within minutes. It was terrible. Guess they need to stay in the Twsbi. I inked my RG smoke TWSBI in Broad and the shimmer looks beautiful. Some combos were not meant to be. You're the second person singing the praises of the Admonk so I'm going to have to check it out. Can't wait to see your Dec picks.

I try to use inks as they come but I may try some ink additive in the Kaweco inked with Sugar Snap. I’ll talk about whatever I decide to do with that one. Have a wonderful weekend ❣️

Great ink pen combo with the Benu. I bought mines but im also in the midst of a 90 day no buy so i have a few more weeks before I can ink it up. Almost daily I aak myself what ink I'm going to put in it. It's my 2nd Benu, you're right...u can't hide with a Benu

Have you ever had a shimmer work in a Kaweco? I haven't, but I've only tried two. I'm getting an Admok soon!

My first try was Sugar Snap. What a failure! I'm going to try a Waterman ink or an Iroshizuku ink eventually but meantime I'm looking for Kaweco cartridges. Their inks work so well in their pens!
