I have the F1500 version of this. Anker makes such nice things.

Anker does make great products for a reasonable price. I just used my C1000 to power 4 amps, mics, 2 keyboards, lights, and 3 computers for a mini outdoor concert. I then lent it to a relative who lost power during a storm. So useful!

Thanks for the review. I've been researching this exact power station for possible purchase. One of the issues I have seen discussed relates to your test during the power outage. You noted that once your mains power came back on that the unit began to charge and your freezer and refrigerator maintained power. The issue seems to be that if your C1000 is drained of power completely before the mains power comes back on then the C1000 will start charging again once power is restored, but the AC outlets on the C1000 will not switch back on automatically. In this scenario if you were asleep or away from the house, your freezer and refrigerator would remain off even though the Anker is receiving power. So long as the C1000 is not drained completely before the power comes back on, this should not be an issue as was the case in your situation. I would recommend you testing this on your unit so you don't get any surprises during a future power outage. Hopefully Anker will fix this issue with a firmware update in the future,

That is insightful and I didn’t know the outlets wouldn’t switch on automatically if completely drained and power is restored. Good to know! I hope Anker can address this with a firmware update!

I also have a c1000 and a smaller c800 Plus as well and they are great power stations. I think every home should have at least one power station considering our aging and venerable US power grid system. My home also has a 22kw Generac Home standby and a smaller Pulsar Dual fuel 5kw inverter generator to charge the power stations just in case my Generac breaks down or can't run for some reason. I like radiancy... many things can happen in regards to the economy and the upcoming election it's best to have a plan A B and C to protect yourself and your family.

Sounds like a sweet setup! I love the redundancy in your system. I’d really like a system to power a well pump during power outages. Cost is the big obstacle for now. Been looking at an interlock and a dual fuel generator as a reasonable option, although a standby would be amazing!
