Excellent video - very helpful. Looking forward to using the J-Tech I just ordered! I work in photo editing several hours a day, and do indeed have serious problems, but with shoulder rather than wrist (go figure).

Used the Anker wired vertical as my right hand mouse for over a year. I liked the vertical feel but found that the added force needed to press the left and right buttons was causing me to unconsciously prefer my left hand Logitech M510. You alluded to this issue in your video. I'll use your affiliate link to order a J-Tech vertical and try it out. Thanks.

Just wonder if spraying some CRC QD electronic cleaner into the J-Tech scroll wheel might reduce the force factor? I too would hate it finding inferior wheel knowing they can be made 'better' like Anker one. Used spray on brand on year old corded MS 4000 kb and it now feels brand new. Just exterior 3 secs spray while it's upside down, wait couple mins, pound each key once. Left kb sit overnite. Regained that nice firmish touch. Doesn't attack plastic but sure does a job on electronic connections. Various brands @$5. CRC last forever and works on tons of stuff, cars especially. Stuff dries right away but I wanted the sit.

@@giuliacomgiu5902 Been using mine 7 months now. Haven't switched back to a traditional mouse, beleive it or not. All the things you hear about needing a long period of time to adjust to the new design and your mousing accuracy dropping dramatically due to to the switch are overstated in my opinion. It only took me maybe 1-2 days to adjust. After a total of maybe 3-4 hours I no longer even thought about the difference between this and a traditional mouse. As for wrist comfort, combining this mouse with a proper egronomic setup, ensuring you're sitting high enough to have your elbows at roughly 90 degrees, I much prefer this mouse. I no longer have tension or wrist pain. I'm a big fan of these Ankers. I've even gotten pretty good using mine for FPS gaming (although I can't say I was ever that good to begin with!).

@@PunkerNinetySix nice, thank you very much! And is it really good for bigger hands? My hands are quite big compared to other girls (7.5 cm large by 17.5 CM tall, or 3 in large by 6.9 in tall) and I've seen in other websites that jtech fits very nice for medium to large hands.
@PunkerNinetySix
@PunkerNinetySix 3 жыл бұрын
@@giuliacomgiu5902 I'd say the Anker is perfect for my hands and mine are larger than average for males. It grips nicely and I don't need to arch my fingers (claw grip) to press the buttons, which is nice and comfortable. I don't have measurements for you, but they say feet and hand size are usually relative to each other, so if it helps I wear size 12-13! Haha Very happy with the Anker.

helpful and reasonably concise, which I appreciate. Also nice to see you actually put some meaningful time in with the devices being reviewed. I bought the wired version of the Anker years ago as my first vertical mouse. Even though I've been using it happily for years, I agree completely with your comments about it. In fact, I never use the back/forward buttons, I use rocker gestures instead, probably because the buttons were never practical. Will try your affiliate link for the J-Tech when I need a replacement. I agree with everything you said about vertical mice! I just stopped using wireless ones because every wireless mouse I've used has died after 2-3 years. My Anker arrived yesterday - the wired version of the one you review here - and within minutes my hand was hurting; interestingly, because the scroll wheel is too far forward! I have large hands, yet have to use my fingertip to use the wheel, instead of the pad of my finger. It may not be a big deal, except I am currently dealing with gout in my hands so every little thing makes a difference. Thanks to your review I'm going to try out the J-Tech instead, so thank you!

I'd been using an Anker mouse for about a year before it started to crap out on me, and recently switched to a j-tech one because it was highly rated (not the one in your video, it's the V628X vertical mouse, with adjustable angles) Wow it's a whole lot different! Bigger grip is fairly easy to get used to, but the actual weight of the thing and the bottom plate thing make it a challenge to get used to. I'll have to play through Portal again to get a better feel for this thing :P

the thing I hate about the J-tech is the frictionless texture for the palm. The hypothenar just slides down to the mouse pad instead of beeing kept on the mouse. Should be more texturized to provide grip. Almost wondering about plasti-dip.

Hmm, I think this means I should go with the Anker. Not to say the J-Tech isnt great, it seems really cool to have my whole hand around the mouse, I just kind of still want a traditional feel, and I honestly use the scroll wheel more than anything else, so I think Anker makes the most sense. Unless I go with a different mouse. Or keep the one I have. Idk.

Those anchor mice are awful. They work fairly well for the first five or so days, but as soon as the battery starts to go, and they do go quick, the thing turns into a piece of junk. Ghost clicks, doubleclick's out of nowhere, failing to register clicks, and the optical sensor tracking is just garbage. If you absolutely must have one, find one that's wired

Good luck to anyone left-handed like me, I don't see a J-Tech in a left hand version. I've been using the Anker left-handed version for a week now and I agree with the review. It's not truly vertical, the forward and back buttons are not comfortable to use, there's no support for the thumb (mine aches) and it's so narrow there's a constant pinch grip. To add, the scroll wheel button needs a distinctive unnatural upward motion to click it. Any natural downward pressure and it hits a brick wall. I suspect they didn't flip it's direction from the right handed version where the right hand could click downwards. For me I've used a standard mouse with my left hand for 30 years and I twist my index finger to the left button. This is not good ergonomics but I've never been able to get away with using the right button as the primary. That is until now. What the Anker version has done for me in the last week is force me to keep my hand in position and use that right mouse button with my index finger. I'm now thinking of the left-handed 3dconnexion CADmouse, it's expensive but may do the trick. Remember when reviewing ergonomics there's a whole bunch of lefties who can't use what you're recommending and the industry is mostly short-sighted to the need!
