I think the big positive with Ankh is that it works very well at 2 players where most area control games stink at that player count.

YES, totally.

Yes I love it at two. I would say inis also works at two very well. Those are my favorites from the matagot and cmon trilogy at those player counts.

It would be so cool if you guys did a video with all the "must have" rated games since the beginning of the channel

Thanks for the suggestion! this week's video will be just that! :)

If you want more upgrading in Ankh, check out the Pharoh expansion: it allows players to aquire special cards and have unique abilities. A must for this game.

Thanks, will have to check it out.

I've always wanted to know what Ankh was about but my lazy ass never really felt like looking it up on youtube. Now that you made a great video on it, I finally know that it is the third game in the mythic trilogy of Eric M. Lang

Great review about an awesome game! I LOVE Ankh, and I also find the merge mechanic nice and interesting. People complains about merge because they don´t play around it.
@BoardGameHangover2 жыл бұрын
I guess so. But I think they just don't like being "eliminated" from the game.

I completely agreed with the rating. It is a very good game, but there are enough things in it that just bother me enough to keep it from being fantastic, and the price convinced me not to get it myself.
@BoardGameHangover2 жыл бұрын
I will most likely wait for a deal on it and then snatch it. I actually would pay less for a version without the big minis ;)

Solid review 💪. Looks like a great game but you’re right about the price. On my wish list.

What is your opinion on which game is better Ankh or Kemet B&S? And why?
@Daley635 ай бұрын
This game just came across my radar. Recent searches show it around $65 USD. How would you compare to Blood Rage or Innis?

The merge really makes or breaks this game for me. I hated the merge which made me dislike the game. You loved the merge which helped you like the game.
@BoardGameHangover2 жыл бұрын
That is true. Have you tried the two player game?
@Cryptandos2 жыл бұрын
Just because it's a smooth design it doesn't make it an intro game. It might be easy to teach but it's very hard to master for non gamers.
@BoardGameHangover2 жыл бұрын
Fair enough! But I do envy people who try to master games these days, as I am the follower of the cult of the new ;) /Jānis G.

Hey buddy. Do you like to review and want to do crossovers while making friends along the way? If your answer is yes then you are probably interested to join the Reviewer community Team Night Saturn where reviewers like you and me are coming together. Other Reviewers who are a part of the team are Antoni Garcia, Karl Wallace aka "Some Canadian Critic", Joey Hollywood, the Fairly OddGamer and Eli D. Perry. My channel has reviews as well. For reference there's my review of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I would love to hear from you soon.

@@BoardGameHangover Here are a few reviewers from Team Night Saturn I think you guys would love checking out: > Karl Wallace aka Some Canadian Critic (He reviews classic schlock movies, TV shows, good movies and he also reads fanfics and online stories in an audio book like way. So yeah a wide variety of content) > Antoni Garcia (He's best known for creating fanarts, reviewing fanfics, albums, movies but also for reviewing opera shows he likes to attend) > Christine Tsuzaki aka The Asian Critic Chick (She reviews comedy movies as well as adult swim cartoons and comedy shows) > Eli D. Perry (His content usually consists of movie analysis videos and reviews, as well as video essays on anime, music, and other pop culture.) > Lucas Bradley aka The Fairly OddGamer (He reviews video games that are either licensed-based or based on a certain franchise. But of course he's not alone because he always has his loyal companion Huxgamr, a surfer dog who also enjoys video games, to help him out.) They're all part of the site and I wholeheartedly recommend to check out their work. If you guys want me to link their KZbin pages give me a heart or reply and I will reply with links to their KZbin page in return. 😁
