Hi. Thanks for the vid. I did a search for ! in the guide, and I found no place it is used for tags. So my question is why did you precede the tag with the ! mark? Thanks.

Anking..my my nursing course has 3 cumulative exams and 3 cumulative quizzes..My exams are approximately every 2 weeks. Im afraid the spaced repetition in Anki will be spaced too far and I won't get the information in long term memory. Am I being too fearful the algorithm won't work for me? I get afraid I'll skip too many days and won't remember enough information for my exam. Your thoughts? Thanks Anking!

Ok. I suspended a whole deck with the hopes of unsuspending & studying a set of cards as I go through the related lecture material. I was hoping that I’ll be able to see them in my review for the next day so I can keep up with them and the new set of cards I unsuspend. But, the cards I unsuspended yesterday were still unsuspended today. H e l p

Does anyone know how to bury related images? Like a specific image would have 2 answer that needs to be attended but I would like to see the 2nd one after a day and not immediately after I'm done with the first since i could already see it

If you suspend a card that you were studying, and then several days after you unsuspend the card...it will be as new? or it will keep the record, for example, if before yous suspended the card easy was 15 days...when you unsuspend the card 1 month after, will it say easy 15 days? or easy 4 days (as the new cards say1?) I am asking this if for any reason I really need to take a break from Anki, I know its not the most ideal...but if it is really necessary, what would be the best thing to do?

When you suspend a card, that its already a review card, and then you unsuspend it, does it come back as a larning card or a review card?

Hello I would like to change a series of cards from one deck to another I watched several tutorials they all talk about the "change deck" button which seems reasonable. Unfortunately my Anki doesn´t show this button the whole selection of buttons on the top: " add", " info", " mark" etc. is missing. What do I do? Hope you can help.

mark will just mark them (adds a little star and you can find them in the browser). Suspend will make it so you don't ever see those cards again until you unsuspend them

In the sidebar in the browser, how do you add sections for "learning," "unsuspended," "marked," etc.? I want to be able to group together all of the cards I am currently learning or have unsuspended for the current module. Thank you!

It’d be easier to use the search bar by using “is:new” or “is:learning” there are a lot of search functions like this in the Anki manual that I think you’d find useful. You could always create a filtered deck with these search functions.

Hi Anking! In terms of burying cards, I have an issue where each time I bury a card in the learning phase, it seems to forget the cards scheduling/steps the next day and treat it as a new card. To try to address this, I have downloaded the newest version of anki and re-downloaded all of my add-ons to make sure they are all up-to-date but the problems still occurs. Would you happen to have any advice on what I can try next to address this issue? Regardless, thank you for your time and reading my message!

Have you tried using the V2 scheduler? I can’t remember, but I think it got addressed with that

Hi, when we study tags, how to incorporate of what we study from customized tag decks to the main deck i.e when I study the customized deck, I dont want to go back to the main deck to read those same cards again, how to make sure that they are integrated? You just need to click the “reschedule cards based on my answers” box when making the filtered deck

in my Anki, there isn't the option of remove tags, add tags, delete, suspend, change deck etc. just filter, search and preview. how do I fix this?

@@aashankhan7418 Those options in 2.1 are all in the dropdown menu. You can install the "fastbar" add-on to make them show up on the top bar in anki 2.1.

The AnKing I have downloaded both the night mode and the fastbar addon (Windows 10). But the icons of the fastbar options remain black, so it's almost impossible to see them. The text instead is white. How can I change the fastbar options icons colour to white? I couldn't find a dedicated option in night mode options. Thanks

You should check out our recommended setting video and copy those recommendations. You likely have a setting input that is causing this.

You don’t have to, but it makes it so those tags appear at the top

@@AnKingMed Thanks for the quick reply! Anyway, what cards and tags will you choose to add a ! symbol in front of? Also will you use other symbols like ?,*,$,#,& etc as a way to distinguish the 'type' of tag a card has?

@@nicklau2769 Yeah I use lots of symbols for the tags I use more often. I use # for things that are resources and $ for my personal tags. Use them however you'd like :)
