Impressive - as you say you can cover a large number of words in minutes. Seeing your thought process at work, Gabriel, was fascinating too - very focussed and disciplined! Thanks for posting.

THIS IS GOLD THANK YOU Now I use the 'Copy Image' and ctrl + v on all the vocab cards and I remember them much better. It's a shame that I started doing this after learning the kanji and a few thousands of japanese words without this. The time I wasted...

For Windows 7 users, you can use the Snipping Tool to grab part of a picture. Click on the Start Menu and type "Snipping" into the search box. It'll appear under the Programs section.

You can use "screen snipping tool" on windows. Just open the start bar and type "snipping".

Thanks for this! But did you ever make that video on concepts that are too complex to express with pictures? Could really use that! Thank you!

The book is excellent (and I mean it!) This video is also excellent. However Google has recently been updated and the "basic version" is not at the bottom any longer and at the settings button (top right) it no longer seems to be available. Do you know is there is a work-around?

So, is this on the older version of Anki? The version I have might be the newer one as it looks different and I can't find the option to make two versions of one card.

Should images be unique for each language, or can I save time by re-using the same image for other languages? I have a feeling the answer is no, since associative memory will naturally recall the first word I used with the image, but then again, I'm sure after the first 400 picture words are memorized and set further into the future in Anki, the images will likely fade from memory anyway.

When I drag a picture from google, it just shows the text of the URL, not the picture. Is there a setting somewhere to change this? Great video though man, I love the site as well.

I have the same problem as mug. I'm trying to paste images from the web and all I get is text. What am I missing?
