Its' incredible how I learn more easily words when there in sentence. I think the fact that it is in context really really helps me. For example I couldn't remember apertador in portuguese, until I made these new flashcards, which took me a little bit more time to do, but also all the time involved for the other words in the sentence made it unforgettable

How did you make this multi-search in safari? It is much faster than the applescript for Sarafi since you don't have to open the app for every word.

Hey man...Russian in 9 months? In addition to random studying of various books here and there I did pimsleur's entire 90 lessons of russian over the course of a year and a half and I'm barely conversational. So...I was considering buying your book. I've been reviewing Pimsleur's Russian (can't believe how much I forgot after just a few months from finishing all 3 levels!), doing memrise (Spanish and Russian), and doing Pimsleur Spanish and a course called "Synergy Spanish". I've been on this language learning kick for a few years now and I have SO little to show for except that I have good pronunciation (music is the main language I study, so I have 20 years of eartraining going for me :p ). Probably gonna purchase your book soon but my initial experience with Anki was lackluster. not sure how to go about getting it to work for me the way you have!

Gotta agree, the book explains all, and he has other videos showing how the concepts in the book get converted into practicality in card making like you see here. Also the website has free tools and the forum is great to search for a lot of questions which have already been asked and answered.

Follow the method without changing anything, don't try to reinvent the wheel. You'll go very fast and get familiar with the tools, after a few months, depending on your language, you're gonna have your first results, and then you'll be fluent after enough months. I think it's interesting to also tweak things in the method and all, but only do it the second time using the method, so you already have a solid base understanding and practical know-how. The book is essential, and the blog articles add useful bits of information to it
