Hey could you do a bit on the Marine Stranding Center in Brigantine? I volunteer with them, they are just north of Atlantic City and handle all the oceanic animal rescues in NJ. (I mostly go check out seals to see if they need assistance and send photos/ give reports to spare them a trip). Glad to see you on the mend Sheddy. Also LBI is crazy in the summer the winter is boring but quiet and boring helps recovery. I know you are full of energy and most have cabin fever (do you know that expression LOL). Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Other than the cast your looking great. Jim seems like a good care giver 👍. A little rest bit can do wonders.

Lots of your sights in the video look familiar. Try "How You Brewin" in Ship Bottom for lunch. The California flatbread is great as is the coffee.

Hope you feel better. Looks like you were in my old stomping grounds LBI. Ship bottom. Lived across the bay in Beach Haven West. Used to fish the bay where you were, for Fluke, during the summer in my boat. LBI is kind of desolate in the winter, but relaxing from the hustle and bustle, and traffic, of the too short season in the summer.

Are you seeing one of the Rothman Group Orthos? I worked in the OR with many of them for years. One of our major bird rehab facilities for the South Jersey region, Tri-State Bird Rescue, just (3/8/22) had the quarantine lifted from having a bird flu positive patient. We used to have the Avian Rehab down in Cape May County but that closed years ago, You should try and get to Barnegat Light State Park where there is a long wheelchair friendly, railed and concrete topped section of the jetty. It's THE destination for winter birding with good chances to see both species of loons, Long tailed Ducks, Purple Sandpipers, and the big draw - Harlequin Ducks. This has also been a good year for alcid sightings.

Yep, Dr Hollinger at Rothmans - he has been amazing! We actually went to see the lighthouse and for a little wheelchair walk just the other day, now I have to start trying to walk it!

After reading the comments to this point, I agree with mobiltec. As you said at the end, things will go back to the usual content soon. But my own view is that the content is entirely secondary and the reason to watch any channel is the people and their stories first. Which is why my watching ranges from mobiltec to Wild music to chuffed...

Sea Fever John Masefield I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking, And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking, I must down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying. I must down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life, To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife; And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover, And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

Not part of the plan? Your entire life is an adventure. And all of it is part of the plan. You've both been through a lot in the last 3 years and perhaps this was natures way of saying, "I'm ordering you to take a break!". The future is bright.

To the Doctor and Jim: Remember those good old days a few years back when a good day just meant making love in the cool of the morning, maybe dig a dingy rope out of the prop, fix an errant v belt, do a lazy sail, take in a sunset, sleep, repeat. I hope those days come back for you. Sooner than later.

observation: why do the the mallard ducks come back to the frozen ice, land then drink? can they not drink while swimming? or is the melted ice water warmer than the water they were swimming in to get to the the ice?
