Wow! ❤️ I love how this piece feels like the emotion frustration, with the calmer moments in between.

Parts of it really reminds me of Shostakovich Concerto first movement.

... and I hear Dvořák's 'Rondo, Op. 94' and even (if only briefly) parts from Elgar's Cello Concerto too - definitely no coincidence, I would say.

What a lovely piece! And very well executed! Ms Segev, you talked about my favourite Classical Cello Concerto, the Haydn in D. I want to suggest you talk about my favourite Baroque Cello Concerto (by Georg Matthias Monn, in g minor), and my favourite Romantic Cello Concerto, by Karl Yulievich Davydov (N° 1, in B minor, Op. 5) The link to the performed piece is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppXVY5yVbNZqbc0 The scores you can find in the public domain in IMSLP. Karl Davydov was named "The Tsar of the Cellists" by his friend and rival Tchaikovsky. He was either Maestro and Composer. He gained as a gift the Cello Stradivarius 1712, that was named "Davydov" in his tribute. Jacqueline Du Pré played in that 1712 Cello!

I've been waiting for this! Is there sheet music to buy?

Too many references to Shostakovich's cello concerto. But very musical.

lower the bar, give 'em something sugary, superficial. LSO, Alsop: no sweat, no effort needed. Easy to put together, not much sophisticated thinking involved to compose or perform such piece.
