Anna Griffin Minc Machine: Rubber foil stamping with glues

Thank you for this KZbin video, I just started to use my Minc machine and could not find any toner. Yet today I came across your video, in the year 2024. Thank you, I went to Joanna Fabric store and yes, they had the pad just as you said and yes, I order one with another produce, the transfer medium hoping that it too will do what I want to do with stenciling. Again, thank you for your inspiration that kee bible journal going.

Omgosh!! Thank u for sharing! I was so hoping there was a way to use the minc w/our stamps & here it is! I was considering stamping & then photo coping the image ( with laser printer ), to then foil it. This is so much better & faster! WTG!! Donna

What a wonderful and in depth video . Thanks so much for sharing I have that inkpad you like so and I have not used mine in years either now all I need is the minc Machine lol. sparkle5ms Hello Mary and thanks for commenting. If you have a laminating machine give it a try. My laminating machine don't give as good results as the Minc but some do. Hope you find a great deal on the Minc. Blessings....

I have been told that with the essentials glue pad you are not supposed to ink it like you do regular stamp pads. You only put the glue on it when you are using it and you don't need to cover the entire pad. The glue will dry out so just use the glue only when you need it.

The Toner pen on stamps work too- or get a small bottle of Brother Laser Toner Refill and use that on a stamp pad. blessings to you too

Did you allow glue to become completely dry then put foil into machine! Also what setting did you do? Mine did not turn out at all and I tried twice. I used The essential Glue pad and setting at 4. But I put foil on cardstock when the glue was wet.

so my question is pretty much what Dawn H asked. Did you wait for the glues to become tacky before foiling or did you run them through right away? Thank you for sharing your time and talent!

+12nairod Good questionn. For the liquid glues I waited a minute or two depending on how runny the glue was. For the glue pad I foiled immediately. If your glue is too runny/wet you can even use a heat gun. Hope this helps. Blessings....

+Sharon Sienaski Happy New Year Sharon. Hmm, that technique seems interesting and may in fact work if your black ink is dark enough. Their are so many different techniques out there and I will try this one. Concerning the glue, if you have the right type (and right amount of glue) you don't need anything else except the foil and Minc. Let me know please. Blessings...

Naticris Tellavi I'm not sure what it stands for but it is basically a laminating machine made specifically for foiling. Anna Griffin and Heidi swapp both have Minc machines but in different colors (both are the same thing though). HOpe this helps. Blessings...

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why you're using the Minc if you're using glue pads. You should just be able to put the foil over the stamped image and rub. I just bought a Minc machine, so I'd be interested in knowing why I would use it when I've stamped with glue pads. Thanks.

BlaizC doesn't it give a better foiling when heated rather than rubbing? I'm one of those anal type people who hate when the foil doesn't stick to everything I want it to. 😂🤣
