Great technique .. also works fine with a wide tip glue pen like Tonic or Zig .. apply to the stamp, stamp the image let it dry and get tacky then foil.

Any thick tacky glue will work and an empty stamp pad and no heating required just burnish it really well on both sides starting on the back first .

Is the magic medium just gel medium? What makes it special? I have so many mediums I hate to add another duplicate!

I need an alternative to this clear medium, I am unable to find it anywhere.

stamp and emboss with versamark ink and "bonding powder" embossing powder, it makes the image sticky. Then foil with laminator. Jennifer Mcguire had demo of this.

I used Mod Pod Gloss and a laminator. No kidding!

why cant you use toner reactive paint?
@RaysBlueBasementWorkshop7 жыл бұрын
You can achieve better results cheaper and faster with Flitter glue and gilding flake or gold leaf.No machine required.

Gilding flake/gold leaf is much messier and more expensive. Mylar-backed foils can be used with a laminator, as shown above, or with wet-to-tacky glues or dry adhesives. It's very versatile. And SO MANY COLORS.
@mimat14277 жыл бұрын
Rays' Blue Basement Workshop there's a plethora of color options with the Mylar and it's less messy. I've used both.

I keep trying to understand the point of this machine and the grindingly boring methods you have to go through to achieve the look. IndigoBlu FlitterGlu and mega flakes gives you the same thing at much, much less cost. No machine, no messing! I just don't get it!

Mylar-backed foils are actually much easier to use and more cost effective.

I've been crafting before you were born, and I know you're wrong, but keep selling people things they don't need. No skin off my nose.

I'm not "selling" anything. Just informing folks as to what's out there. And you are entitled to your (kind, respectful) opinion. No skin off my nose, either.
