I am just gonna say that I feel happy that the TV and Movie industry is moving in a direction where they are constantly looking for new talent and different people to play different roles and they are being recognised. A lot of this year's Emmys went to first time winners or nominees and that's exciting! Going are the days where they simply cast a big star to play a leading role just to get attention, more roles and recognition for more people's individual achievements in TV and Film.

I'm a Latin and my wife is Asian, growing up we had our fair share of racism, and unfortunately it still continues to this day, so when I saw Miss Sawai winning this award the feeling of pride for her was magnified. No one is denying that she deserves it. If you’re Asian, you of all people should know how under represented we are in Hollywood. Being the 1st Asian woman to win “lead actress” in that category is a huge milestone to her and the community as a whole, and should thus be recognized.
